This is a gem that hides in Bar Harbor. Fresh baked goods made on site... great prices... wonderful service. True Maine Blueberry Pie, 1/2 pound cookies, freshly made muffins. A total must visit!
A great place for breakfast with delicious food and coffee. We stopped for a late breakfast and had both a sweet and a savory crepe. Both were very flavorful and delicious with fresh ingredients and reasonable prices. Coffee was delicious and the lattes were great with some creative combinations. There is a small seating area inside and picnic tables outside right on the water. This is definitely an option that should be on your list when visiting the area for breakfast.
It is really important to say this: these guys have the best espresso in town!!! I've been to every place in Bar Harbor in search for a good coffee and I found it there, and they don't even pretend with their coffee like maany other places The crepe with apple, brie and almonds - this is something I will steal and make at home! I've been dreaming about this crepe!! The avocado toast with salmon - perfect! Staff is friendly and location is nice. Thank you guys for everything! Keep going this way! I wish you could use real plates and silverware tho! So people could enjoy your food even better!
Excellent breakfast on the harbor's edge. We had a salmon bagel sandwich and bacon / egg / cheese crepe.... delicious! Oh yeah, and the half pound cookie was another whole meal!
Wakey wakey, crepes and bakey! Excellent coffee and crepes. Just a few feet from Harborside Hotel, my family and I were able to enjoy breakfast at this casual cafe several times during our stay in downtown Bar Harbor. I really enjoyed my super stuffed "Brie, Green Apple, and Prosciutto Crepe" with a Cardamom Coffee while my kids totally ate up their "Bacon, Egg, and Cheese" and "Strawberry Nutella" crepes. With 20 sweet and savory crepe options, other breakfast and lunch choices, and great coffee, this is a great spot to start your day. NOTES/TIPS: **Beautiful oceanside view. Outdoor seating available. Some tables have covering overhead. **No frills on the inside. Gorgeous view outside.
their blueberry crape is to die for! This was my second breakfast and I could stop. Cute outdoor seating on the pier? The also have selection of other crapes and rolls. Would love to come back for their lobster roll.
This place is the best. Friendly people. Great coffee and food. Cinnamon rolls the size of your head and delicious too. Might be the best blueberry pie in Bar Harbor. You can get a lobster roll anywhere, but the lobster crepe crepe is something special. I was there every morning the week I was there. Never a disappointment.
This cafe came recommended to us by the whale watch cruise we went to. And since the whale watch was a great success we thought we would visit the Sunrise cafe for a lobster lunch. We should have thought again after seeing that majority of patrons are ordering blueberry pie and general desserts, and not the main entree items. But we made a mistake in ordering lobster roll & a lobster crepe at the cafe. Both items turned out extremely dry and barely had any taste. We had lobsters better than that in many New Jersey diners along major highways. Overall, our experience with Sunrise cafe was poor as we should have seen it for the tourist trap it was. Alas, we will not be coming back.
The Sunrise Cafe is a small very small : cafe that serves super yummy breakfast and lunch foods. They also have great coffee, smoothies, and fresh juices. Their blueberry pie is fantastic, and their lobster crepes are awesome!
I'd like to start by saying they had the very best cinnamon roll I've ever had! The breakfast sandwiches and crepes we had were also excellent, as was the coffee offered at their coffee bar. The seating is very limited, it's a small/cute place nestled under another restaurant next to a pier. But that wasn't a problem, we found a seat immediately as did others as they came and went. The blueberry pie looked great, but we didn't get a chance to try it.
