Excellent deli. Great menu selections, quick friendly service. And they have Pepsi products, my favorite. We had the chicken bacon ranch wrap, it was excellent, very large portion. Benches right out front to sit and eat under a shade tree. There are also lobster rolls, public parking right near by. You are close to the water so you can take your lunch down on the lawn and watch the boats in the harbor.
The lobster roll was extremely small. Finished it in 4 bits. I am holding it in my hand for comparison. Was left feeling cheated as I ate mostly bread and very little lobster. Do not recommend this place. When it came to the lobster taste it was okay. If I were to compare it with iconic lobster roll places like Bit into Maine I would say it is nowhere close and do not eat the lobster roll at the deli.
Came here and got the clam chowder, lobster roll and blueberry pie lunch set for $35. Clam chowder was delicious. Lots of clams and creamy but not too heavy. Lobster roll was okay. Blueberry pie was good. We also got the lobster stew. It had at least 6 pieces of whole lobster claws in it. But the stew itself was too oily for our taste so probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, service was friendly and efficient. Pricing was market priced so I guess fair. Would return to try their other sandwiches as they did look pretty good.
It was yummy! Up to me, I would like to have a little more salad inside to better match a lobster with bread. Overall, just satisfied! They provide a super fast service and workers are welcoming and pleasant! Thank you!
This is THE place to go in Bar Harbor for an amazing lobster roll. Grab a boxed lunch and go check out Acadia or grab a roll and take it down to the water front. Fast, friendly, fantastic. Definitely go here!
If you make only one stop in Bar Harbor for food I'd make it here. The Lunch Delight Special lobster roll, clam chowder, blueberry pie is not only a great value but gives you many of the flavors of Maine in one stop. One of the top lobster rolls I ate among the 7+ lol that I had during my time in Maine.
We’re happy to find a place that was open at 9 am that made lunch to go to take on our hike at Acadia. We ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and chicken/avocado/ranch wrap. Buffalo chicken wrap was pretty good! The avocado in the other wrap was brown, and overall bland. Overall would recommend. They have a pretty big menu.
This spot was my #1 had to for lunch. Id looked up places to grab lunch and this caught my eye. The perfect combo. A warm Lobster Roll, cup of clam chowder, and a piece of blueberry pie! They brought it out to me in a brown lunch bag, and I headed straight for the park. I found a nice spot in the grass and had a picnic.
Friendly, organized, fast service! Crowded but line moved fast. Got a chic Caesar salad wrap. Wait outside and they bring it up to you. Fresh and tasty. Would go back and try homemade turkey With stuffing sandwich.
My pals and I were searching for a place to grab a lobster roll for lunch, and Downeast Deli was a great choice, with four styles of lobster rolls reasonably priced at just over $17 as opposed to $30+, like you’ll see at other places in Bar Harbor. There was a bit of a wait, but there is a fairly comfy bench to sit on outside, and the server will bring your food out to you. The rolls might not be the biggest in town, but I felt like I got my money’s worth, and the toasted buns are a nice touch.
