Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast for sure lives up to its name. As someone who normally doesn't like breakfast foods, I had a great breakfast here. We ordered the blueberry pancakes with the blueberry jam and the omelette skillet. The blueberry pancakes is one of the best pancakes I've ever had. The texture was fluffy and there was blueberry in every bite. But adding the homemade blueberry jam on top of it really elevated the experience. The jam acted like maple syrup and perfectly complemented the pancakes. Do not forget to order if you come here. The omelette skillet was cooked to perfection, and the homemade sausage was just phenomenal. Don't get deterred by the 1 hour wait time, it passes by fast and the worth for breakfast is well worth it! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available on the menu. Kid-friendliness: A very family friendly environment! Parking: Plenty of street parking available. Dietary restrictions: A lot of gluten-free options available!
Great breakfast. Everything is exceptionally tasty! Homemade strawberry/ rhubarb preserve with pancakes were awesome! It was a little chilly but they provided blankets. Highly recommended!
Not the best place for breakfast if you’re looking for vegetarian/vegan. They had a lot of vegan options, but taste is what was missing. Reading from the menu, everything sounded delicious, but didn’t really meet expectations. Main problem was that they used the same tofu recipe to recreate multiple dishes and both weren’t flavorful really bland. Fries weren’t good either. Non vegan food was good and my friends enjoyed it. So overall it’s a good place but not the best for vegan options
Best vegan breakfast options in Bar Harbor. They’ve got a nice vegan section on the menu and the food is really good!! Unlike a typical greasy spoon, the food feels clean, the home fries are delicious and crispy without leaving a pool of oil behind. They open nice and early if you’d like to beat the crowds. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Great place to wrap up Acadia trip with local bar harbor brunch. Absolutely loved our host and the owner. And those little wall hanging of the owner’s kids Mother’s Day gifts of making a lobster with your hand prints was very thoughtful and inspirational.
Blueberry pancakes were good, but I like to put butter between my pancakes and unfortunately they were all stuck together. We had couple of orders of bacon one of them was undercooked and the other one was good. The corned beef hash was not up to par. It wasn't worth trying to send anything back, since they were so busy. Service seemed nice but stretched. Seemed overpriced for the quantity and quality.
We have eaten here every year we’ve come to Bar Harbor and it NEVER disappoints! The most AMAZING food and service is just as great! Today was extra special because it is our son’s 7th birthday and when I asked them to help make it a special breakfast they did not hesitate and asked the whole restaurant to sing as well! All six of us loved our food - the stuffed French toast was a favorite didn’t get a picture of that! And the pancakes, omelette and potatoes were so good! HIGHLY recommend!!!
We avoided the food related to lobster because of the price. But the breakfast was really delicious. I love it! The service is really good, and waitresses are very nice. Recommend it!
Bar harbor is packed with too many people but this little place is super for breakfast/brunch. Very busy but worth the wait. Lobster omelet is wonderful and the lumberjack breakfast is perfect. Very nice
Blueberry pancakes - decent, but cafe this way is still the best. Strawberry rhubarb jam is a unique touch. I suspect they don’t serve with real maple syrup… Omelette - good Coffee - good
