Sooo happy with the turn out of this cake! Ordered a custom cake as a surprise for my mother, I wasn’t 100% sure of exactly what I wanted, just a general theme- the staff were so knowledgeable and creative! They were patient with helping me come up with the final cake look! They kept me up to date and contacted me regularly, it made me know I put this cake into the right hands! Cake came out so beautiful, and delicious- not dry at all! My go to sweet shop from now on!
Ordered a cake for a grand opening celebration. The cake was not only stunning it was delicious!! The cake decorator did exactly what I asked for and even included the store logo which I never even asked for, it was absolutely beautiful! Everyone loved it and it was an amazing centerpiece! And again I can't stress how good it tasted. A lot of celebration cakes I find are hit or miss whether the insides actually taste good, and this one was incredible. THANK YOU to all the staff that helped coordinate this order you are outstanding!!
Omg I love these cupcakes. I have had a bunch of birthday cakes made over the years. They have consistently been prompt and polite, and have always managed to get my vision. I wish I could find pictures of every cake I've had made as I have been going there since pretty much when they opened. Thank you for helping me make some amazing memories. My children are in their 20s now and we still love our sugar city.
When communicating with them make sure you are clear as day because they misspelled my son's name on his FIRST birthday cake when i went to pick it up an hour prior to the party i was almost in tears that it said Mathan instead of Nathan, I also ordered a 6" smash cake and got a 4" instead. Someone was supposed to contact me to make it right but i never heard back from them of course. The only good part was that one of their employees tried her best to correct the spelling herself despite that not being her job.
I have used sugar city cupcakes a few times now for special occasions. I did my wedding cake, valentines day and just grabbed something as I passed by. They are great there, they listen to what you want and the flavors are amazing.
The only spot I've ordered cakes from, for years - for any occasion, big or small. The icing is decadent, the cake is moist. The attention to detail is outstanding. Each cake has been a piece of art. The cupcakes are so beautifully decorated and have such fun, original flavors. The cake pops and cookie sandwiches are a huge hit with my kids. They also have celebration boxes which are displayed in a lovely box and full of goodies. They're perfect for those who don't like cake or if you want to try something different - my 5 year old son loved his 'Birthday Box' - highly recommend. Everything and anything you order from Sugar City will satisfy your sweet tooth and will receive compliment after compliment. The team here truly put their hearts into making your vision come to life. They are wonderful people and their customer service is second to none. From a large cake that serves 20 people, or a small 4" cake to serve 4 people, you will be coming back for more. Barrie's BEST, hands down.
Absolutely phenomenal cupcakes. They have a delicious weight to them and are incredibly satisfying. I got them for a bachelorette party - where we all showed up with cupcakes and mine were the unanimously voted best ones.
A fantastic little artisan bakery. Great service and the prices are excellent. Any questions you have about product are easily answered by the super friendly staff. Personal favourite is the chocolate Halifax Explosion. Do yourself a favour and pay the place a visit. You won't be disappointed.
A great cake shop that makes fabulous flavours and designs. This one was created for a friend’s birthday and all enjoyed. Yes it is unique and that is a great thing they give to their clients.
Ridiculous. Waited til last minute to tell me they are unable to make my daughters birthday cake. If I send you an email on the Thursday and reply to you with a photo on the same day, shouldn’t you already know you are booked up for the following Saturday? Why string me along for 5 days and leave me scrambling? First and last time I will be trying to do business here.
