Sudam Korean Restaurant

Good food but odd service. Was advised that only one order could be placed was hoping to order appetizers first then decide on mains and that there is a time limit of 90 minutes that starts as soon as the first person from the party is seated we were a party of 3 and one person came 10 mins late. Have never had that comment from a server before so found it a bit odd and off-putting.

Great customer service. Felt very welcomed Well cooked smoked porktender and juicy. Average kimchi soup Liked the atmosphere. All tables were full but didn’t feel crowded

This is another great restaurant located in the NW of Calgary. The food is delicious & service was wonderful. Due to limited spacing, I do recommend making reservations or arrive early before the lunch/dinner rush starts.

Better than the average Korean restaurants and I don't mind returning again to try the ginseng chicken it sold out by 630pm on a Saturday night We had the seafood hotpot this time, big enough for two people. The soup tasted excellent. The crab was a bit of let down, the meat was mushy. The booking system was interesting, sometimes no reservation allowed, and sometimes they allow it. Seating was limited to 90 minutes. That could be an advantage if you are dining with people you don't want to dine with :-P. If you enjoy talking for a long time over dinner, this may be something to consider.

Overall the taste of food is average level. You feel nothing goes wrong, but none of them make you excited. They charge $1.5 for refill one side. It was not a surprise on the bill but owner could spread the cost to other dishes making more sense to me. Generally I felt so rushing to have lunch in the weekend here. Even the food itself , I felt it was like a fast Korean food. Not very enjoyable on either the food or the vibe here.

I think Sudam is one of my favourite Korean restaurants in Calgary!! Their seafood pancake is hearty with a good crunch and the sauce that comes with it complements the pancake's savoury flavour without being too salty. I'm always pleased with everything that I order. This time I tried the Mapo Galbi and it was juicy with the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Looking forward to coming back!

Sudam has really tasty and authentic Korean dishes! They have menu items that we have not found anywhere else in NW Calgary. The staff are always friendly and willing to accommodate our allergy requests. A true Korean gem in our city!Food: 5/5

We really enjoyed all food that we ordered. We loved the pancake thd first came out. I didn't take photo, cause we ate so quickly. We had a guest with us, she also really liked all dishes. One thing I didn't feel really comfortable, I can't order extra food later than the first order. Overall great experience. I enjoyed the lunch here today. I ordered the Galbitang less meat but I liked more Hot-pot Bibibbam.

We’re a big fan of Korean food so we might be expecting too much from Sudam. The service was great but unfortunately, the food didn’t match. Paired that with the cost of the meal, it was just average and definitely not a place we would return.

Japchae- super small portion and a bit price for it Seafood pancake- it’s alright, not too tasty tho the portion is okay. beef bulgogi- well this one is the bomb. this is the best bulgogi i had from all korean restaurant. portion is good too gamjatang- taste is okay. small portion for it. service is good. side dishes are good too
