The best bibimbap ever!! I prefer the pork calamari over the original but both are delicious. Amazing value and quick service. However the tofu stew was average, not very spicy and would not get again.
It was lovely to have this stone bowl bibimbap at Kim chi House. I had the pork calamari one and it was good as expected. Great value! Also, the staff here is very lovely and kind too. I was happy that I stopped by. If I visit Calgary again, I would definitely come back here and try other menus. I just love this place so much!
Excellent quality Korean food located in a strip mall.. Hard to find something like this still around. Your go to place for hot Korean food that's authentic for a fair price. One of my favorite - tofu stew! Love the service and location close to work.
KIM CHI HOUSE - Chinatown in City Plaza. One of our go-to lunch spots. Always love the regular stone bowl bibimbap and the spicy pork and bulgogi beef lunch combo dish. This time also got the tofu soup, yum. I think they're also on skip and DD.
We have been coming here for years now even though we only stop by every chance we get coming into Calgary. The food is great and cheap. Quick Cap 1. beef bibimbap- delicious and very affordable 2. great portion and comes with a side of miso soup 3. very friendly owners.
Great place to grab lunch if you work downtown. Hot pot serves 2 but more like for 4 people. We got the beef cheese stone bowl bibimbap and the Obulsa hotpot. I’d always recommend the traditional style stone bowl bibimbap.Recommended dishesKimchi Soup, Traditional Bibimbap with Hot Sauce, Obulsa Hot Pot, Miso Soup
I have been coming here for years! The lunch special comes with 2 types of meats and miso soup, it's also really good portions at a reasonable price! 10/10 would recommend.Food: 5/5
Really good food and generous portions! $30 for the spicy chicken hot pot for two people, included rice and a side dish. The hot pot consists of sliced chicken thigh, tteokboki, potato slices, onions, cabbage, instant noodles and other seasonings. Spice was mild, which worked for me, so ask for extra spicy if you prefer it spicier. Dining is in the food court area and the staff will bring the hot pot over on a portable stove with a big cast iron pan. It takes about 10min to cook at the table so don't order it if you are pressed for time. Would definitely come back to try more dishes!
I tried the traditional bibimbap beef and it was delicious! I like how the beef is not chewy. The dish was filling and left me satisfied.
Food was really great! Prices aren’t too bad either They also had self serve free tea when you order and it tasted really good.
