As good or even better than the one in Edmonton. The Korean BBQ packs a punch when it comes to quality of their food and just the aesthetics and looks of this modern place. The food is excellent, high quality and not as big portioned as most Korean restaurants. As for the price, it is higher than most Korean restaurants. Some tables can accommodate up 8 comfortably. The service was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. They are busy, if you want to get a table, go early before 5:30pm as they don't take reservations.
If you’ve ever tried this restaurant in Edmonton you know that it’s a great Korean bbq place! The menu is quite large with a good selection of great quality meats and also appetizers choices that are pretty awesome. I recommend the combos as they are the best “bang for your buck” and most of them include some soups to go with your rice! If you are looking for just appetizers I highly recommend the cold noodles but they aren’t for everyone as the base is a vinegar/ sour soup, but once the spicy paste is added it is quite delicious I hate vinegar. The corn cheese is a bit small but will satisfy people who love corn. Out of the beef my favourite is B2 and B3. The marinade is very good and it made me want more, b3 is bland but sauces and salt are provided so you can season it yourself. Marbling on all the meet is great! The restaurant can be quite pricey, but you are getting quality meat. We went with a group of 7 and it worked out to be about 58 dollars each but we were quite full!
I'm not a big fan of Korean bbq because everywhere I go it all taste the same, looks the same and feels the same, nothing special. Decided to take the family across the city to try Baekjeong and was very impressed. Maybe the type of cuts or seasoning was different but everything tasted delicious. We basically ordered everything off the menu since there was 9 of us and was not disappointed. Service was slow at first to seat us since we had reservations but I didn't mind the 20 minute wait. Order the yogurt Soju drink, it will go nicely with the meat sweats.
This place was worth the 35 minute drive today. Seriously fangirling. We went there for dinner and were greeted and seated promptly. The server was kind enough to move us to a further table as we wanted to sit somewhere a bit warmer and further from the front door. He checked up on us regularly and very attentive throughout our whole meal. We ordered the “Baekjeong Combo for 2” and the amount of food could have easily fed 3 people! All the meats tasted fresh and good quality, not to mention all the sides they gave us complimentary the kimchi was extra spicy - perfect for me was a huge bonus! Disclaimer: if you haven’t tried it before, highly recommend the “Sun-Uh-Soontubu” soup! It was absolutely delightful, a tiny bit spicy, comforting, and felt like a warm hug on a freezing cold day. The flavours of the soup were unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before and I will definitely be coming back just for that!
Ummm maybe a solid 3.5 star. Meat is fresh that’s about it. Side dish was just okay, but refills no problem. Service just average as well. The soup was below average. Seafood pancake with little tiny meats, and strong smells of baking soda for some reason. Over all not worth the high price tag. Me personally won’t return. …
We had a great experience here for our dinner. The soup by far was very goodkimchi our miso was very flavourful, but a touch on the saltier side. All of our cuts of meat were tender and delicious. The drinks here were very sweet and needed to be toned down a bit. If you come here for KBBQ it’ll hit the spot for ya.
Amazing place for Korean BBQ! So many selections of food, price points and combinations so makes it so easy to Order! Place was packed on the weekend, but has lots of parking options. We ordered a few premium meat packages which were quite pricey but worth it as the packages fed more than what it says…can’t wait to try again!
I cannot say enough for how delicious the food here was! I have a small appetite but when the food is THAT good I suddenly know how to eat. It’s definitely pricey and not for everyday occasion but this is by far the best Korean BBQ I have had outside of Korea. I can’t wait to come here again.
Fantastic new experience very surprised how much the quantity of food you get for a combo 2. Very worth it plan ahead to eat a lot . Love the function of the call button for service. Makes it convenient to get refills and hot plate changes.
Great cuts of meat for the premium beef combo. The combo comes with spicy tofu soup and a choice of steamed egg or cheese corn. Top notch beef with fast service. The indoor decor is modern and clean. The only downside is the long wait time right now with no reservations since the restaurant just opened. For two people, expect to pay over $100 for the Korean BBQ combos.
