I am 72 years old and my vision had gradually deteriorated over a 20 year period from 20/20 to being unable to read street signs. Finally, after many years of struggling to read with cheaters, I went to the eye doctor. I had cataracts which glasses cannot help. Dr Sturbaum suggested lens implantation surgery and I was pretty skeptical. He said I would be able to read with cheaters once again. Almost immediately following the simple and painless procedure I am 20/20 with no cheaters. I could not read the second line on the eye chart prior to the implants. Dr Sturbaum and his staff are the best. They are not only highly professional, they also do a fantastic job fixing your vision problems. Sometimes you may have to wait a bit to be seen but it is only because Dr. Sturbaum is taking the time he needs to do the best possible job for the previous patient. I am sorry I waited so long to get my vision corrected. Get in there today and you'll be glad you did!

I had LASIK by Dr.Sturbaum at Empire Eye in October and it is the best thing I could have done. My free screening with Dr. Sturbaum , Dr. Claypool and staff was very informative and made me less nervous about the procedure. On the day of surgery it went incredibly smooth, during the procedure Dr. Sturbaum talked me though the whole process and made me feel very comfortable. The procedure was done before I knew it and my vision was spectacular! Waking up the next morning and not reaching for glasses was the best feeling in the world! Thank you Dr. Sturbaum, you and your team are the BEST!

The most unorganized company we have ever delt with!! Poor service, the receptionists are all complete twits and no one communicates with one another! Dr. Sturbaum was the man who diagnosed my husbands eye disease and recommended we go to cannada for the surgery. We did and went back to Sturbaum for post op care. His file was never pulled and the Dr had no idea who he was and was extremely rude asking my husband why he was there and that they were going to charge him cash because he "assumed we did jot have insurance". We have very good insurance as a matter of fact! We were treated so poorly by this quack MD and his staff. Then after the horrible mess with his files they refused to bill our insurance and stated we needed to pay $500 in cash for the next 3 months of post op. It is completely covered by our insurance but they refused to send it off because "they don't know how to code it". A complete joke of a company and health care. Would absolutely never recommend them to anyone I care about.

Unacceptable time management practices! Every appointment my Uncle has had there has incurred a 45 min or more wait time to see Dr. Sturbaum. The followup visits were the worst though - after waiting 45 mins to see the Dr. he comes in for 10 mins at most and then is gone. They really need to get their sorry act together at that place. Making someone wait that long once happens but not every single time - what gives?
