I’m not a fan of German or Central European cuisine but I’ve been here 3 times and every time was great. The food is excellent and the pretzels are to die for. Great beer selection. The staff is friendly and helpful and they all seem like cool people. I’ll be definitely going back for more, every time I’m in Springfield.

Called, and ordered food to go. The young lady was helpful in helping place my order and again for pick up. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, with spatzel and a side of Brussels sprouts. That was all very delicious & large portion of the chicken I would request more gravy and mushrooms on the side next time. Also ordered the apple strudel. It was a LARGE serving, definitely adequate to share amongst many. Would have been good warm, with ice cream. For to go, was served cold. So, not sure how it is served in the restaurant. I will be back to try more items from the menu.

Overall good food. Service was expeditious with 20 minutes from order to table light traffic early Sunday evening. The roasted brussels sprouts were the best I’ve ever had and highly recommend. The honey mustard sauce was alright but rather flavorless — it tasted more like apple sauce than a honey mustard.

I held a memorial luncheon for close to 60 people at Student Prince. It was comforting to know I could rely on the staff's experience and professionalism to ensure a successful event. We started with a lovely tray of cheese and crackers, the perfect accompaniment to drinks and backdrop to conversation. Next, bread and butter and a fresh, generously-sized garden salad. The entree of lemon chicken was flavorful if a bit dry. Mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables were well prepared and delicious. Coffee and carrot cake brought a sweet conclusion to the meal. Overall, Student Prince offers guests a distinctive, warm and welcoming environment. Perfect for informal gatherings or special events!

This place was absolutely amazing and went beyond my expectations! I feel like when I try new restaurants I'm never really blown away, things can taste average. Not this place. I could not believe how good the food was. Big hearty portions and a good amount to choose from. The building is beautiful and very well maintained. There is a lot of history about the location and they have many objects and pictures around the resturant.staff was very friendly and accommodating, and gave us some history on the building! We will definitely be going back soon! I cant wait to go back and try more dishes!

I’ve been coming here for years and this restaurant is always consistent. Game month is a MUST! The fried Camembert cheese is AMAZING! Tonight I had the lamb shank which was so flavorful. I’ll be dreaming of it for days to come. My waiter Dennis recognized my friend and I and even remembered our drinks!! INCREDIBLE SERVICE! Definitely come here if you’re passing through or want a hearty meal.

Seating and service was prompt. Love the German Draft Beer. Décor is traditional German. Food was excellent and the service was extraordinary. Don't forget to order a chauvenette before you leave. Another great dining experience at this restaurant.

We love this restaurant. We had the pretzel and potato cakes appetizers, the short rib, and the goulash entrees, with a side of crispy Brussels sprouts, and for dessert, we got apple strudel and olive oil cake. Everything tasted great, came out quick. My boyfriend and I love the decor and atmosphere. Our server, Erin, was awesome; efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Can’t wait to try something different next time. Parking: They have valet Wednesday through weekend.
