Good place for semi remote. Only thing around. The view is amazing.
Their restaurant serves a buffet, and it's expensive and not worth the money.
People who work there are young, seem like they don't have much attention to detail.
For example, we ordered a pack lunch, and a spoon was never provided to eat the lunch.
Also the hotel completely failed to inform us there was a wedding a head of time. And it was so noisy, and rowdy.

Beautifully rustic! I went on a mountaineering trip with the Junior Canadian Rangers with Strathcona Park Lodge hosting us, and it was an amazing experience. The gourmet food was delightful, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the mountains, and the rooms are cozy.
Although there was no wifi or cable, there is so much to do out there that it is nice not to be distracted and be completely immersed in nature.
Our group headed out to climb Mt. Myra with guides Olivier and Steve. These two created a positive and energetic team, and I learned an enormous amount from them about the mountains. The gear and food they supplied us was also perfect for our trip.
I would highly recommend staying here, whether you go day hiking, canoeing, mountaineering or just relaxing and enjoying a slower and more beautiful pace in life.

The Lodge is clean and comfortable, and has some good facilities such as boat rental, games and a nice lounge to relax in. It does take advantage of the fact that it is the only accommodation in the area - a room is expensive for what it is and meals are way overpriced (although the mashed potato at the dinner buffet tasted great!) Good views through!

Our 14 year old girls went on the WYLD Summer Camp, Nootka Sea Kayak Adventure. 8 in their group with 2 really great instructors (Addy and Jackson). 5 boys and 3 girls, which worked out so well. Our girls saw some amazing sights kayaking around Bligh Island in Nootka Sound and seeing bioluminescence for the first time. Their adventure was rustic, electronic free, and educational. The girls said the best part of the trip was the other 8 people that became friends and made the trip so much fun. Happy Strathcona offered this special journey that they will remember forever. Was unique. They cannot wait to do another adventure next year.

Finally stayed the weekend instead of whizzing by on the motorcycle. Rustic, but if you can't find something to do here, check your pulse. Its not the ocean but I could hear the waves lapping on the beach at Cabin 5.
Its early to bed and early to rise.
