Story

Welcome to Steeling Home, a modern general store. We sell unique, vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces. All kinds of treasures and surprises to engage your senses. When you just can’t decide, there are gift certificates as well. Visit soon. Visit often. We add something new and beautiful to our collection every day.
If you are unable to make it to our store, please feel free to browse our online shop. We offer free shipping with purchase of $100 or more.



"Steeling Home includes a wide array of beautiful, interesting, and practical wares to add wit and whimsy to a home. Steeling Home, initially an artist run co-op, was created in 1993 as a venue to showcase local work. The store is run by the original artist and continues to focus on handmade goods by Canadian artists. You can find an eclectic selection of goods including décor, candles, home goods, jewelry, books, cards, apparel, and other unique treasures. We are happy to be a part of the vibrant 17th Avenue community in Calgary, Alberta and are proud to showcase unique and handmade Canadian souvenirs."

This is very similar to fishes eddy in NYC. Very unique and varied items. Great place to go for gifts and unique paper products. Price is mid to high but quality is good, a lot seems hand made and very unique. Very cute seasonal products! If you're looking for unique cards definitely check this place out. Best place to go when you're looking for a gift. My husband told me he's found most of my birthday gifts here. Theres a lot of variety and price ranges so you don't have to break the bank to find something really great.

Love this store - they have such cool &unique items and it's a great place to find gift ideas. There is a stationary & books section, kids & babies, kitchenware, bath & soaps, winter items hats, scarves, etc and much more. They also have really nice Calgary/Canada souvenirs that are well designed and not tacky like a lot of souvenir shops are.
