One of my favourite hikes in the Vancouver area. Your reward is a stellar view of the Howe Sound and Squamish. It's a moderate hike with 3 peaks, but you can easily do it round-trip in half a day.
I typically just do peaks 2 and 3, because you can see peak 1 from peak 2 anyway, and it's busier at 1.
There are tame chipmunks on the peaks where everyone eats lunch. They'll come right up to your hand and take food.
There's also a popular climbing route up the rock wall. You'll often see climbers run down the hiking trails with all their ropes and gear.

First time doing the chief this past weekend. It was still a bit cold on summit 1. We even experienced some hail and snow. I didn’t realize how intense this hike was until the end where there are narrow ladders and slippery rock faces. A great experience overall though.

One of BC's best hikes. With 3 peaks of varying distances and altitudes, you can modify your hike to your fitness level, or change it up if you're sick of going up the same peak. Conquer one or all three. Incredibly cool that the trail leading to the peaks are leash optional (yes a REAL hike that Fido can be off-leash!!)
Lots of stairs, some spots of ladders and chains, and some steep drop offs - not your average hike!! highly recommended to avid hikers.

Climbed up to the first peak of the Chief's Peak Trail. Gorgeous view! You will want good footwear. It was a bit slippery due to the melting snow and ice.

We hiked to peak one in early April, being from Ontario we’re not used to steep hikes like this. It was challenging (with all of the steps/steep stairs) but completely worth it.
