It's a nice campground, close to waterfalls and Sea to Sky Gondola, in about 20-30 minutes walking distance. We've got a site with beautiful water view, but it was not easy to park our average size car over there. They have coins operated showers, and they said they have a coin dispenser there, so you could use your card to get coins. We checked everywhere around, and couldn't find one, so bring those quarters with you. We stayed there in the middle of September, and it was a little cold and wet, so bring warm clothes for sure. The best location for camping with sightseeing sites access.
Tried this place when all campsite on BC PARKS are full. Love this place! The front desk lady helped us check in is very friendly and attentive! Provided much info and even gave a map. Good facilities--clean washroom, they have laundry and shower service if u insert coin. Able to see the fall from site. They provide woods $10/bundle, descent price. And on 2ppl site there are 2 tables available. The only con is too much bugs there, however the campsite has nothing to do with it. Overall it's an amazing private campsite.
Our final campground during our Canada trip is location 23 walk-in, 1 minute. It is a really stunning location with great view over the bay. The campground is clean, got flushing toilets and fresh water. For showers you will have to pay as well for the laundromat.
Fantastic camping. Some sites are little holes but most are absolutely breathtaking. Fantastic views. We were site 108. By far the best site there. Only no services at the site. Next best is 100. And full hook ups, both with ocean views. For your site seeing, Shannon falls is a must, The mine tour is a must, Howe Sound brewing is a must and the Murrin Provincial Park is a must. Enjoy your trip.
This was my first time here, and I was a bit worried after reading so many polarized reviews! I walked the entire campground to see what the fuzz was all about. The reality is that this campground offers some pretty nice, some spectacular and some very bad campsites depending on what you end up on the site. The tent sites down the closer to the river are not the best in my opinion and clearly sites closer to the "views" are definitely worth it. We have a truck with a rooftop tent but we also pull a boat behind us, so we didn't need much, we have site reserved first site 29 which would have been horrible for it, but it was very hard to tell from the photos. The administration recommended a different site 113 and we couldn't be happier on that site. We don't use power or water hookups so it was awesome for us. I read a lot of reviews about noise, yes this campground is next to highway 99 which is very used at any time of the day an night. Some sites that are closer to the highway would be worse for noise, but you can hear the highway from pretty much any site in the campground - not a big deal for us I just used ear plugs at night. Also another noise that you would hear is industry noise as tug boats, etc move logs all night by the water. You can even hear noise from the port. Again not a big deal, but if you are picky about noise, find a place very far away from the highway. Services were great, clean bathrooms, good hot water, showers, and brand new laundry facility we didn't use it but it was available. Overall I really like this campground and the close proximity to Shannon Falls, Chief and Squamish is a plus! It is pricy if you pick the "premium" site, but there is a lot of other epic sites that are half the price! I would back here in a heartbeat.
It is a very clean. The campsites & facilities are excellently maintained. Unfortunately there is only 2 washrooms for all the tent sites. There was usual a line up for them. The next washrooms are up the hill where the trailers park. Also there is only place for garbage disposal and again it is way up the hill by the office. The scenery surrounding the area is beautiful. Nice walk to a small waterfall on site or a short walk across the road to Shannon Falls. Best spots are by the creek...handy for a refreshing dip & keeping your drinks cold. Also the sound at night puts you to sleep although you do hear some traffic noise
Amazing campground, with private tenting. Facilities were good. Right next to the creek. Was perfect place to call home for a week.
Campground was nice and staff were friendly. Had a beautiful view of Shannon falls and we were right beside a little creek. Bathrooms were a little dirty and cramped but overall it was a nice experience.
This campground is super cool! They are super accommodating and even do same day check in. We didn’t want to stay in Whistler and this place is in between. It has laundry and hot showers!! The tent area is super cool with a creek and trails to explore. It is across the street from Shannon falls and short rose to Stawamus provincial park. We would definitely stay here again!
Definitely great place for camping. The camping site was clean. And the restroom was also cleaner than my expectation. So nice opportunity to lean how to make fire. Strongly recommend to anyone who’s into camping.
