We lucked out on finding this campground just by searching around Google. When we first arrived the site is very well organized and the camp sites are very well thought out. It has both a family friendly area and an adult area. There's also a fairly easy trail to the train tracks and salmon hatchery near by. The office has everything you could possibly need in case you've forgotten something which is very handy if you don't wanna drive back into Squamish. The ladies that checked us in and out are also very kind and easy to talk to. The washrooms and showers are all very nice and look to be as energy efficient as possible. Our campsite is decently covered by trees but we had a nice opening to still star gaze at night when the fire died down.
Great public campground that was similar to a provincial campgroup. Very clean bathrooms and showers.
I'm very happy to have had my first real camping experience with my husband here! The ladies working at the reception were kind and helpful, and the grounds were clean and beautiful. The maintenance crew does a great job at keeping everything clean and tidy. It was an absolute delight for this camping noob to spend a night on these campgrounds. As a bonus there is drinkable water available, clean toilets and sinks to wash up and even showers! It's the perfect mix of nature and comfort. We are planning on coming again next weekend, it was that great! 5 stars all around :
Great Campground. Nice private fully-treed camp sites. Very clean washroom and shower facilities. Well stocked store. Quiet, peaceful place. Just wish you could play your own music quietly rather than listen to someone playing guitar at another site.
Was looking for a clean, safe, easy spot for my wife and 3 year old son’s first camping trip and settled on Paradise due to its close proximity to Squamish and Fergies Cafe if things didn’t go so well and my wife needed a quick pick me up. Paradise was better than expected. Felt well run and managed, bathrooms were the nicest I’ve ever been to camping my wife mentioned how impressed she was the store has everything you could need, the spot was nice, clean and flat. We followed some trails down to the river and saw a ton of spawning salmon which thrilled my son. My wife said next time she goes camping she wants to come back here so all in all I’m Paradise was perfect.
Staff is great . Campground is nice. Very clean washrooms and showers. Convenient store that has everything you need. They even come pick up your empty Propane tank and bring them back to you after refilling. At a premium price ofcourse. But so convenient. Great if you have kids and can't step away.
The drive in was through a beautiful old growth forest. Sites were well laid out with plenty of trees but ours was a bit close to the neighbors. There's a quiet time after 10pm and people did complain about us apparently for chatting with our teenage grandkids until 11:30 pm. Dead quite at night but don't even think about sleeping in past 8am, not going to happen. Washrooms and showers were nice and clean and if one's occupied there's another close by. The only complaint really is our site was not level and no matter how we set up the tents we were leaning outward. The firepit was in a bad place as well, behind the picnic table, but the fire ban had us using the propane fire bowl anyway. If you want a quiet family friendly camping experience this is it. If you like to socialize in the evening then maybe choose a different campground. All in all, our 4 days there was a great camping experience. We'll be back. On a side note, there are train tracks close by but we didn't hear one train.
Very clean campsite only 16 full hook up sites. Friendly staff.. quiet time is at 10pm... washrooms are super clean and 1 dollar for 5 min showers max 10mins. Enjoyed our stay at Paradise.
Fantastic staff, a general store that pretty much anything a camper might forget plus snacks etc. All the camping spots were nice and private with picnic table and fire pit. Fire ban on at moment thoughYou can hire a propane fire as well. Shower and toilets were clean and well serviced. Trails out the back to the river. Highly recommend going up the road to do the Cheatamus Canyon, very easy, gravel trail over looking the rail and river. If we lived here it'd be a place we'd come back to. Handy for Whistler and Squamish as well
Enchanting location in a lovely wooded area close to Squamish, and hiking areas. Staff greeted us at the office with welcoming assistance. Facilities are clean, modern and well maintained. Campground maintenance manager worked hard to ensure our satisfaction with our slightly uphill sewer drain location. No internet here, unplugged camping!!! Most expensive campground on our cross Canada trip… worth it considering the nature of the campground and facilities provided.
