A Geek's Paradise! I've only been there a few times and I was very satisfied with the experience. They have an extensive selection of games with something for everyone. From Family and Party games to Designer and War games with a good dose of Dungeons and Dragons. Large selection of Start Wars Games. Also lots of toys from Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Manga, Pokemon. Lots of card games are available and the Magic cards are kept safe at the counter. Huge selection of Dices and Card sleeves. They have a few puzzles and a Gigantic collection of POPS. Make sure you check out the shelf with damaged and opened boxes that are offered at a discounted price. There is also a Game consignment service to sell your games. Some Posters and Game organizers. At the Entrance you will find a good selection of open games that you are welcome to Try before you Buy, or just play with. They have an area in the back with tables and chairs where I saw adults as well as kids play different games. The feel I got from that store is that they are trying to build a community and that's a good thing.
Best board game shop in Vancouver! They have the absolute best selection of games at the lowest prices I have found. Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. They also host regular games nights for the community and have a sweet fireplace for warming up after coming in from the rain. Love this place so much!!
The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable, and I like that they make it easy to pick up orders in store. I've enjoyed the events I've attended here, and I appreciated their selection of card sleeves that made shipping for stocking stuffers easier. They've got a large selection compared with most local stores and their prices are competitive.
Huge selection of board games could actually be the biggest in town, lots of space, helpful staff, weekly events, online ordering and pickup. This place is awesome. The entrance is a small ground level side door that leads to the basement. This might look sketchy at first but don't be dissuaded; quite possibly the best store of it's type in the city.
I love Starlit, it is the quintessential local game shop. The staff are massive nerds and extremely friendly, exactly what you'd want from a local game shop. While they have much more than board games including figurines and collecters items I go for their extensive and always up to date tabletop games. I've found some rare games here, as well as the classics all for a fair price. Thanks Starlit Citidel you're an absolute gem.
Amazing selection, awesome prices, nice, knowledgeable staff, and a chill atmosphere. The perfect place to shop for games and expansions. They even have a game rental library program which is awesome!
This used to be the best games store in town. Now the store hours are extremely prohibitive if you work office hours. Unfortunately they have lost my business because of this and I cannot recommend the store unless you work odd hours and have free time during the day. The owner has lost interest in the business which is a shame. Will miss you starlit.
This is my go to place for anything board game related. Great selection of board games, mini figures, dice, action figures, and a lot more. They also have a weekly Paint Night where you can learn how to paint mini figures!
Great place to play and learn new board games. Excellent and friendly staff all ways eager to help. And the best part is that they hold small tournaments every weekend for new and old players all together.
Has the feeling of a dank basement. No windows, steep stairs, almost like shopping in a speak easy. I guess when you sell cash and carry to undercut actual community involved game stores you really can't afford a proper retail space or the ability to engage customers. Charging people to use plastic table space in a basement where they get little to no service when they actually do want to spend money is a real value added. It will keep me from ever stepping foot in this store.
