Story

When Country Beads opened its doors in October 1994, people welcomed us with enthusiasm, support and helpful suggestions! We listened and are now happy to celebrate our 22nd year of successful business!

Beading continues to grow in popularity. We have always kept up with the latest in jewelry trends and fashions, trying to provide you with unique pieces to work with and the newest, hottest items before the trends pass.

Over the years, our selection of beads and findings has increased significantly. Due to popular demand, we now carry many high-end semi-precious stones as well as sterling silver, gold-filled and vermeil beads and findings. Our huge selection of chains is very popular, all sold by the foot in sterling silver, gold, and plated base metal. We also have sterling silver and gold-filled wire from 14-30 gauge!

Country Beads prides itself on great customer-service. Ask any of our qualified staff for guidance with your beading dilemmas, or for help with finding any specific products. Whether you're in the store, on the phone, or on-line, we'll do our best to help you.

Our Vancouver shop is hopping with happy beaders every day. People come in to browse our beads and inspire each other, and we invite you to do the same. Many of our customers have become dear friends over the years. We look forward to getting to know you better, whether in person or through our new, expanded online relationships.

Small but got plenty of things you need. I like their crystal selections they got some really really colourful fluorite pieces and their clear quartz are very pretty too. I like the necklaces they hang around the shop they are very colourful. I also like that you can bring your pet into the shop like a friendly neighborhood place. The staff are very friendly.
It's good I don't live near here or I'd be out of money! A phenomenal mix of cheap cute beads and more precious ones, as well as chains and other supplies. I got some faceted emerald at a great price, and some cute plastic pendants for like a dollar. Love it!
My first visit to country beads and they are offering a variety of everything and I mostly like the customer service vibes it’s very important for me. I do recommend if you are planning to have some jewels on you for the summer :
Amazing store with literally hundreds of different beads. They sell the needed accessories too. This place is a Vancouver fixture, if you know about beads. Staff are friendly and helpful and well staffed. As of posting date they are open for in-store shopping. Street meter parking. They do have a shared lot behind their building. #letsguide #covid
I love everything about Country Beads, specially their gemstones!! Here, I share some of my creations, all supplied by C.B.
My first time at Country Beads was a great experience. Being new to this craft, I had a lot of questions and Alex, one of the staff, was so patient and thorough when answering my questions. I could tell he genuinely enjoyed his job and was very knowledgeable. I came in with a stone, and wanted to make it into a pendant. He suggested which materials to use, and let me use the tools in the store to make it. I will definitely be coming back again!
This store has a great selection of not only beads but all sorts of tools and accessories, and it's really fun to just browse around the many colourful bins of materials. But most importantly, all the staff were super helpful and gave fantastic advice on how to fix/update the pieces of jewellery I brought in. Although due to covid they are not currently offering a jewellery repair service, they suggested materials which I took home and was able to make the simple repairs successfully and very cheaply despite absolutely no experience. Thank you to everyone who helped me today!
Used to frequent this business for years, and had even recently joined the loyalty program. But a bad interaction with someone worker/owner? has me not wanting to support this business any longer. Also her response is somewhat true. She did not however “offer me a better price than listed” that is a blatant lie. Nice attempt at smiling through trying to rip me off though. Buy your beads online for better prices and customer service.
I have lived in Kits for many years but have not ever gone into Country Beads. I guess I was thinking just beads BUT this store is so much more and so happy I went in! This store is Absolutely Fabulous inside with selections galore.... I was looked after by Alex who was so helpful & friendly! Great place & excellent prices! I highly recommend stopping in, you'll be pleasantly surprised as I was.....!
Really great selection of plated and precious metal findings and tools for beadwork. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you're looking for 11/0 seed beads though, they don't have too many.
