My parents asked me to sell my father’s stamp collection and specifically shipped it to me so that I could bring it to Frank. It was quite overwhelming but my father said that I could trust Frank and he was correct. It took a while but Frank sold the collection and was able to get the value of it for my parents. This is definitely the place to go if you inherit a large stamp collection. The staff are incredibly trustworthy and courteous.
I would not even give these very rude people one star. I have several complaints about this business if that's what you would like to call it businesses usually have an inkling of customer service. It's unfortunate these people are such rude people, I was having fun learning about stamps until I met the people I'm assuming owners because if I had employees like them they would be fired. And I will quits to you treat others how you would like to be treated.they were helpful in rudely telling me my stamps r worthless with his nose turned up like he is better than everyone. I would never put something so mean about someone but for some reason I don't think these two care what anyone thinks of them. Please do not go out of your way to go here this was one of the worst experiences I have had in my life.
i have frequented this store several times and each time has been a treat. Im writing this because i stumbled upon some negative reviews . They were not even close to being a reflection of the uniqueness of both the store and employees/ owners. The owner was never anything but helpful Is it like going in to a Krispy Kreme donuts shop with the help waiting on you from the second you walk in ? No. But what do you expect ? This is a fairly hardcore stamp store with weekly auctions that consume a ton of time and piles of inventory still to be catalogued as far as i could see at least. The characters and personalities of the staff and owner will be the reason i will be coming back. This is a must stop for any avid collector.
Was looking for some specific stamps as a birthday gift. Brought a list with me of maybe 12 stamps. They were very helpful and friendly. Also got 10 out of the 12 stamps. Will go here again when looking for supplies and specific other items.
I brought my daughters in today to have them experience a real stamp shop rather than just online auctions. Frank and his helper were very rude and inconsiderate. They made it clear that they had no time for people like us. That there was no money to be made dealing in stuff kids would want one daughter specializes in machins and the other pre-revolutionary cuba. I guess we will have to go in to a real stamp shop again when we are next in London. Shame on Frank for not finding value in promoting this great hobby. I hope those who he does find as worthwhile customers will take their business to someone more deserving.
VERY RUDE. NOT HELPFUL IN ANY WAY. Made me feel very uncomfortable just for being in the store.. apparently because "they only buy stamps on friday" and I "didn't call ahead" Would never go there again and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
These people are very professional and honest. Great place to go if you inherited a stamp collection and need them to take a look at it's value and to auction the collection for you.
Never a problem, Frank can be a bit terse, but like most when busy with philately.
Stamp Collecting is the Hobby of Kings, and FVH is a good place to shop
Have sent several emails asking about a product. When I got no response, I even called them on the phone. Was told that the owner was out and would call me back within 1 hour. Surprise! No call.
