The St. James Gate Group of Companies includes; a premier boutique event room, boutique hotel, and restaurant/bars located in the heart of downtown Moncton NB, at the Fox Creek golf course in Dieppe NB, and at the Hotel Shediac, in Shediac NB.

Story

We offer live entertainment several nights a week from local well known artists in and around Moncton. Please visit our website for a monthly calendar of musicians. We also have locations in Dieppe @ Fox Creek Golf and Country Club and Shediac @ Hotel Shediac, New Brunswick.

My friends and I went there a few days ago, they were busy and all the tables were full. We had never been there so we didn't know if we were supposed to seat ourselves or to wait for a waitress to come and greet us. We stood around the doorway area looking like idiots for like 5 to 10 minutes. Several waitresses passed by and completely ignored us even though we were clearly in the way since there is no real waiting area. Finally we got tired of being ignored and I asked a passing waitress if we were supposed to seat ourselves or what was going on. She was cold and just said that we had to seat ourselves and then she left. She never offered help, or to tell us how long the wait time would be, or to offer to make a reservation for later. We left feeling ignored and embarrassed. I won't go back, the whole place felt really snobbish and like they didn't care at all about our business.

Fantastic service and literally, the finest Carbonara I've ever tasted. Spent the evening in the new events space off the main bar, SJG Avenue. What a great addition! Cozy, not too loud, but could still hear the band. I would definitely book it for 20-30 person event. Trendy cocktail menu.

The food was exquisite! All fresh, handmade, local food. Service was amazing. One of my new favorite places!

I love St James, but sometimes depending on what you order it could be the kind of place that you have to go for a Burger after you eat there.

Event room is beautiful, however the woman in charge has a very unpleasant attitude, staff is untrained, all around seems like they don't know what they are doing. It's a shame to have such a nice place but I will not be booking my next event here.
