As a resident of St. Croix Meadows for 8 years, I can honestly say current management, residents, neighbors, are creating a better community. Want affordable housing with access to nature near the cities? St. Croix Meadows. A rating is in this community's future.
St.Croix Meadows has been getting a total makeover! A new manager was hired and she is outstanding. Her name is Debbie, she’s made such a difference to the mobile home park. She’s no nonsense and cares about us and making this a better place. Some people don’t like to follow the rules or change but they need to move on then. We have well water at the park and it tends to smell but that’s from having a well. Get over it people. All tests came back passing as I’ve checked the DNR site. Yes, there’s been issues in the past but that’s the past and the new manager is on top of it!! They installed a 2nd well for us to have better water pressure. Nothing was done for over 15 years. Impact is putting some huge money and it shows. So glad we finally have a competent and professional manager. Close to Stillwater, walking trails, lift bridge, St. Croix river and it’s an upcoming growing area! Check it out for yourself.
We've lived here a year. While at this time, I cannot give it 5 stars, the current manager is doing her best to make improvements. She's made a much bigger impact on the place than the other two managers that were here. Improvements have been made, and others are in the works. If she accomplishes what she hopes to, eventually, I'll change it to 5 stars. But at this point, we like living here. Neighbors are helpful, but not in your business. I love the quiet of the area. No jet or traffic noise. Yes there have been evictions. Don't pay rent, guess what happens. She's working hard to change the reputation of the place. As far as the water goes. I drink it without a problem. I have a copy of a professional water test that was done, if anyone wants it, I'll happily email it to you. Yes, it was nasty, and we didn't drink it at first. Yes, the place had really bad management for some time under RV Horizons. But we have new owners and now have an onsite manager. As I said, she's working her tail off making improvements, and improving the reputation. Edited to say that I've been here 2.5 years now. There have been a LOT of improvements in the place. I still can't give it 5 stars, but the manager has indeed worked her tail off to get done what she has accomplished. Regarding the water. Yes, it's very high in iron, It is high in iron throughout the area, and typically with high iron in the water, when it hits the copper anode rod in the water heater, it smells. A simple whole house water filter takes care of that. Other than that, the BS about it being unhealthy is just that. BS.
The manager is doing so many great improvements for this community....She is very informative on what is and will be happening here for us .....always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I know what’s up. I feel like it’s a good place to live. Safe. And helping great neighbors. The guys next door. To te PPLE on the corner to the other guy on my other side. Very quite PPLE. And always willing to say hello and chat. Deb is a great manager. More people should be like her !!!!!!!!!
RV horizons out of Colorado still owns this property. Dave Reynolds is the owner impact communities is just another name under RV horizons. I have also tested my water professionally with a lab and have found bacterias. This company does not have a filtration disinfectant purifier this company has old outdated rusted out water pipes that come to our homes. We do have contaminants in our water and some are in between levels. Our new well has arsenic in it and it is not connected at this time. It was below the level but it's still there and it's a cancer-causing agent. Do you feel safe drinking arsenic at any level my question. Are well that we're using at this time has in between levels of nitrates also cancer causing do you feel comfortable drinking nitrates that are not filtrated. Also this company has not tested for a chemical called the forever chemical this is a 3M product this chemical was found up north in Taylors falls in the St Croix River. We all use the same aquifer this will be my next test because my family continue to get sick. Now for the rent I attempted to pay the rent several times this company refused to take my rent. I am now and have been in a process of evictions for over a year and a half. Have a nice day lot 53c
This place has improved so much within the last year. The new manager has really done some good whipping this place into shape. Thankfully there is someone here finally that cares about the property and tenants.
I love my the place I call home. I lived here for 38yrs born and raised my dad had lived here for almost 50yrs. Yes ..we had horriable park managers that have done us wrong. But we've had horriable nasty tentits that choose not follow the lease so there for they got evicted...kinda have to follow the rules! Are water is awsome...the lies people are say are just that LIES we have never ever in 50 years of my dad living here NO 1 had ever been sick. I have never been sick from the water. Jon from DNR comes ever 6months and collects samples from at lest 4 homes and it has always been SAFE. The issue is that we had hard water there is a smell but it is 100% safe!! We finely have awsome park manager who has struggled to make the changes that were promised to us she had struggled with corporate to get stuff done. And finely YES it had....Dawn Wolf had been a great PM and just a great neighbor. I love my neighbors and are kids here.
Today we lost our fifth manager in 3 years we've had issues with our water throughout the three years I've lived here we have a lot of water outages and settlement and smells coming from the water we also do not have a purification system hooked up to the well. DNR is working to get them to fix the quality of water they have until July 30th 2020. My advice is check with everyone in the park prior to moving in. Rent increases come very often sometimes twice a year it depends if your lease expires or if they have a stipulation in your lease buyers beware
I asked my mother to hook up the sleds to the back of the car and she did I grabbed my sister and my best friend she grabbed her best friend we went around a couple times being fine not getting hurt at all we go Around to the 2d row and she goes EXSUSE ME YOU NEED TO STOP RIGHT NOW AND THEN SHE GOES TO GRAB HER PHONE WITH HER HUSBAND OR WHATEVER PROBABLY DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ONE AND TAKES PICTURES OF US SHE'S BEEN ALSO KICKING OUT THE PERFECTLY FINE PEOPLE THAT ARE DOING NO THING WRONG IF I could write a zero I would all the other managers had no business with it untill she came and ruined it I mean other kids did it and we're just not allowed to do that jeez let us just have fun like...
I have worked for this outfit twice and it was difficult to get paid the first time and I still haven't gotten paid for the second job we did there. It has been over 3 months and I have heard every excuse imaginable for why I haven't gotten paid.if you are a contractor beware of these people
