River's Edge Apple River Tubing & Camping

I too experienced the condescending, intrusive, poor customer service of the moped driver and his staff. Tell me how can 4 people, who bring their own tubes and do not need a shuttle, still pay the same prices as anyone else? Tell me also how the same people come back and have to pay Additional in order to visit family at this camp ground??? Let's add this up... We bring our own Three filled tubes and was told $10 per tube at the gate... then when we tell them we have three tubes the story changes and we pay per person!! So to bring our own tubes $10× 4 people= $40 Plus $5 for parking... while the Moped driver's face is inside your car!! $45 Plus come back after tubing and pay $10 for parking + $16×2 people= $42 to meet someone at a camp site!!! So at the end of the day we paid $87 to go tubing and meet up with family for two hours after going down the river... All from the Same Camp Site!!!! Guess this is how the rich get richer!! I will Never visit again.

I don't normally review places I've gone, but my experience with the staff was really disappointing. Tubing on the apple river is amazing. The river itself is great, and I highly suggest if you are considering it, go for it. I've been canoeing and tubing the river for years, but decided to use Rivers Edge for the 4th of July holiday. The customer service was laughably bad. There was a guy riding around on a moped who was especially condescending. Other downside (or upside, depending) is that this section of the river is definitely not family friendly, at least on a holiday or weekend.

It was fun going with my family, but took 3 hrs without the Rapids. It's slow, but be sure to protect your cooler if you bring one, ours kept falling because we got too big of a tube. Also, be careful for rocks hitting you. If you are up to the challenge I hope you have fun!

Great place to tube the Apple river. Good tubes, decent prices, very friendly and helpful staff. Have gone probably half a dozen times and will continue to return to rivers edge.

We expected a huge 24/7 party, and it wasn't like that at all. Yes, people were in a party mood, but everyone was well behaved around us. Our site did have 30/20 amp electric and water. All of the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The Saturday night karaoke was fun. The onsite lounge was awesome. Love the retro look. Don't forget about the tubing, which was a great time. If you are looking for a fun campground that isn't too out of control then try here. #localguides #weekendrvlife
