Have been here multiple times now and we always enjoy the food and the service. We usually get a room and have had no issues with anything. For the amount of food you get and the price it definitely is worth it! The facilities are nice and clean. I would recommend coming here to eat. Parking: There is not much for parking.
I was in the mood for an AYCE Japanese restaurant that wasn't going to cost a fortune, but the happy hours weren't until 9pm. We decided to try this place as we've been eyeing it for a while. Staff were quiet, but respectful, kind and friendly. They gave us a respectful amount of time to figure out what we wanted, and the delivery of the food was quick. The food was very tasty and enjoyable. They have their own unique tea which I highly recommend you try. It is not my favorite tea, but it was very enjoyable and tasty. The lady was very kind and even gave me a little to sample at home. Pricing was on par with the food amount given, and as I said it was very tasty. During our meal, staff left us alone amd did not pester us which was appreciated as well. All in all, I am happy we tried this restaurant and would recommend giving it a try. Also, the menu is beautifully done with vivid colour pictures that are accurate with what you receive. Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian options. Parking: Parking is a bit on the cramped side and would probably be difficult during busy periods. Wheelchair accessibility: 1 wheelchair parking spot right by door.
Best Yunnan food, actually best mainland Chinese food in Vancouver!!!! Everything is so tasty and full of flavours. You will find the most niche Yunnan style street food to popular dishes. The owner did a really good job curating the menu. The frog legs are medium spiced ado it’s perfect for everyone. I love how they used ginger to balance out the dish, it didn’t have the raw frog taste at all. They recently opened up BBQ skewers and OMG the lamb skewers are the best I’ve ever had. It’s so tender but perfectly charred at the same time. I don’t like lamb fat personally so I asked for lean lamb, and wow they are insanely juicy, not dry at all like a lot of places some bbq places use lamb fat to balance their super hard-to-bite lean part. We got the tofu and asked for extra rice noodles on the side so we can put tofu on it as topping. It was soooo delish as well. Overall very happy with this place and I’m telling everyone about it!!
Everything was delicious! They did forget our rice we reminded them but they ended up charging us for 4 rice instead of the 2 that we got. Apart from that, everything else was good.
Decided to check out this restaurant and soo happy we did. We arrived just before 6pm and there was just one other table occupied. However over the next 30 minutes the place filled up nicely and it made us think we picked a good place. The hot tea was delicious and we continuously enjoyed it all dinner. Love how the menu is all pictures along with descriptions, really helped us out. Food was served immediately once made, nice and hot. It all tasted soo good, nicely seasoned and portions were generous. Wine was had and also enjoyed. Would happily go back and try more from their menu.
We had high expectation for Yunnan cuisine but the experience was a bit mixed. Qi Guo Ji is very delicious. Hei San Duo is…interesting. There was a strong flavor of Sichuan pepper and not at all like what we tried in Yunnan. Service was great tho!
An amazing traditional Chinese restaurant. Each dish was full of flavour and served family style. We will definitely be back.
Man… this place is legit. If you like spicy food and can handle some devilish liquid chilly oil/liquor, this place is worth the visit. As a food explorer, I try to order as many dishes as possible when I visit a new restaurant. So I got their Er Guo Tou Chinese white wine; 53%, cumin lamb, chilly stir fried kidney, and their signature chicken soup. The soup is just ok, a little bit salty. The lamb and kidney tho…. They go so freakin well with liquor together. It’s like nachos - but spicy version. I’d recommend this place only if you like spicy food. The food came fast. Service is ok… you do need to flag them down and yell “HELLO!” To be attended to. This place is full of younger Chinese crowds. They also have private rooms with a minimum of $250 per table. Surprisingly, they have no corking fee if you have a table reserved plenty of free parking at the back. Enjoy!
I'm not super familiar with Hunan cuisine, but happy with all dishes we ordered. I especially enjoyed the buns.
We ordered 10+ dishes, and most of them are amazing! Especially the buns and the peacock plate I don't know the name of it We will definitely come back:
