Wow. If this is the quality of food Sonic is giving out now, then count me out. Tater tots were burnt and tasted burnt. "Chicken" strips were burnt and looked like they came from a dollar store TV diner. Even the toast was burnt. Absolutely disgraceful. Will definitely think hard before coming back ever again. Hate to say this isn't the first time that the Ellensburg Sonic has left us unsatisfied.
Wish I would have read the reviews before we stopped! The cheeseburger my husband ordered was burnt to a crisp, the cheese wasn't melted, and the buns were stale and felt cold to the touch. As I was pulling it out of the bag I honestly wondered if he had ordered a cold sandwich. Nope, it was just a sorry excuse for a cheeseburger. My son ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, the chicken looked like it came from a bag of frozen pattys you buy at Walmart. The slush was more liquid than ice and tasted watered down. Listening to the workers in the back, as we waited inside, seemed like a bunch of teenagers were running the show. My husband even commented that he wondered if the manager had quit. Needless to say, we threw everything away. What a waste of time and money!!
Every time I go there it's bad. We ordered 3 shakes and all of them had residue from other foods on them. Orders were incorrect and looks like they step on the sandwiches when they're done making them
The employees are doing their best. I’m sure with how many customers that get frustrated can be tough. However, this location never has inventory for the menu. They are out of many of the items, some permanently discontinued and yet the menu is never updated. No popcorn chicken, no ice cream, no Dr.Pepper, none of the speciality buns for Hot Dogs. Order inventory. The last four times we have left because of the same issues, but the kiddos always want to try. And if you have a hungry family, or particular kiddos, I would just go somewhere else.
Waited for 15 minutes in the pull in stalls before being told we could only order through the drive through. Got in line only to find they were out of SO many menu items. No big deal, we adjusted, but then were told that they did have the original items we wanted. Yay! Got to the window and were told they were sorry, but they were actually out of the items after all. From the time we arrived at Sonic to the time we left with our food, we waited for 65 minutes. One of the workers was very apologetic and was extremely nice, but did mention that the regional manager was there. Food was below average and they forgot the one shake we ordered. Definitely won't be returning.
It looks like someone sat on my burger...my husband's burger had more lettuce on the outside than in the bun. One bite and into the trash both my chicken burger and my husband's jalapeño cheeseburger went. Don't waste your time or money.
Got there at 5:40 pm, ordered on the app to get half price drinks. Found out that only 3 of the 15 stalls were open to get our order. Took 15 mins for 2 drinks. Tried to go inside to make the pick up faster, all doors are locked with no notes on the doors.
This was so bad. The "crispy" chicken was like eating an oily sponge slathered in mayo the main flavor note . No crisp. It was so bad I couldn't eat it, despite being plenty hungry. The burgers were like very burnt rubber. My burger loving kids just picked at them. They were out of corn dogs. Who knows what those would have been like. The veggies on the burgers were soggy, lifeless and nearly colorless. The fries were cardboard & tasted awful. I have no qualms with other fast food restaurants, this particular one was just bizarrely inedible and really bad. Total waste of money. Wish we had gone anywhere else. 1 star because they delighted my 6-year-old by forgetting the tomato on her burger.
My experience with the staff was friendly. Our order did not come with everything but when asked about it they brought everything out quickly. The food was not all that good. I've been to sonics before, but the tots were extremely salty and the onion rings were really bland. The rest of the food was just not what we would expect.
Came at 3:30 in the afternoon on a Monday. Ordered 3 drinks and a snack. We waited in line for 15 minutes or more then at the window for 5 to 7 minutes before we ever saw somebody come to the window. Because nobody calls was available to help us we drove off without getting our food. Then as we drove off, somebody finally came to the drive-through window to help the person who had been behind us. We saw that and subsequently went into the store to see if we could get our food. The young lady who was at the window said she couldn’t help us because we drove away. Remember…we waited 5 to 7 minutes at the window and nobody ever greeted us at the window.
