I'm deeply saddened to remove my support from this iconic local rec spot. I've loved this hill since I first hiked it in 2007, patronized it all year every year and even enjoyed a wonderful summer employed by the mountain. However, changes have come and greed is getting out of control. It is wrong to charge people $75 to hike their local hill in the winter time. There is literally no cost to the mountain for this activity and would (does) occur if there were no lifts or up keep on the slopes. Furthermore, the mountain is owned by the town (where I'm a tax paying resident), Snow King leases the land for, I believe it's like $1100 a year, and then charges us $75 a person to use that land when they are not even open for business. I've been here for 10 Winters and never heard of this (and I've not heard one citizen who thinks it's right) I'm just bummed, this is super disappointing.

The hotel and the city were excellent! It's much to do and see at the hotel. If desired, a person or group could never leave the hotel and have a grand time because of the activities offered. The pool and restaurant were also cool too. I got on the rollercoaster "on" the mountain and I really really enjoyed it! Go if you can :-)

The Torchlight Parade was spectacular and the fireworks were great! This is my favorite cold weather experience.

Horrible room. Bathroom door that won't stay closed, broken lamps, etc. The place is dated and worn down. Management promised a partial ($200 plus room fees of approx. $35) refund in September--then twice again in October. It is now December and only the room fees have been refunded.
