I would give this place zero stars if it were possible. I have had nothing but issues with them since day one. I attempted to set up personal training sessions on three different occasions. Each time, the trainer didn't bother to show up. For one of the supposed appointments, I arrived to find that the power was out in the whole gym. I guess nobody bothered to pay the electric bill, either. The trainer never bothered to call me to let me know the situation or reschedule. So, after three attempts, I gave up. The only reason I went to this gym is because the price was right and the location was convenient. (You get what you pay for.) Then, they charged me a $20 fee because my debit card had expired and they didn't have the correct expiration date. I didn't get a single email to remind me that my card was expiring. The staff member that I spoke to told me that there was nothing that they can do about it. I was upset because I had been a patron for a couple of years and never had a single issue with payment. I just let it go though, clearly this low budget gym needs the $20 a lot more than I do. Now that Anytime Fitness has opened across the street, I no longer have to deal with this janky gym and the horrendous customer service.

I cannot speak for the review of others. Only my own. First off, I don't know how Brian does it be he is on this on his own when it comes to gym membership, Management and trainer. There is one other trainer there but still, it can be massive load when your doing the brunt of it all on your own. I will admit it is busy and I had to call multiple times to ensure I can be there at an appropriate time to sign up. Once signed up, it was a breeze. In and out within 5 minutes. This is not my first time around snap fitness but the process seems to have been simplified. Much of the documents are signed electronically and pretty self explanatory. My only run in I had was after paying for an additional $25 for global access fee (original purchase was under Groupon) it didn't work immediately, I called Brian, left a voicemail and he got back to me within 24 hours to resolve the issue. Pros: Affordable compared to any other snap fitness I've seen and Brian providing an excellent customer experience. Cons: Can be busy at times. Suggestion: It may benefit adding staff member to help with some of the high volume inquiries.

I ended my membership here in July. It is now December. I have continue to be billed. In July, if filled in the online form and emailed it back and gave a copy to the owner in person. Because of dates, it made sense that I would be billed in August. When I was still being billed in October, I had a series of frustrating phone calls with the owner, and re-sent the original emailed form multiple times. The owner repeatedly pretended he had never received it and then said he would end my membership as of October. Two months later, I am still being billed.

Loud and cluttered, but run by a very dedicated guy. It's quirky, but loved by the regulars. When I've popped in over the years, it's felt more like I'm working out in somebody's garage than in a gym.

This place is MILITANT about no street shoes - will charge you a fee. The only other Snap I've been to similar - and I've been to many - is in Madison WI. Also no showers. They are greatly needed as this is off the "hub" 46th st station literail. But other than that, is good...
