On my one and only visit to this ‘establishment’, I was greeted very rudely by the cashier. I shook that off though. Ordered my pizza, and waited 15 minutes. This was very surprising given that I was the only one in the restaurant at the time. When my pizza did finally come out I was greeted by tiny black hairs sprinkled over it. I rejected the pizza given that I don’t want to eat hair. The employee apologized and said they would make another immediately. But, not moments later, the ‘acting General Manger’ approaches me and explained that there was nothing to be done due to it not being any of the employees hair. Dave was his name, but I believe is something else, due to pronunciation issues. This joke of a manager legitimately tried blaming the hairs on me (even though I am blonde). He then walked away without remedying the situation. After this monstrosity of customer service, I began to prepare leaving when I was greeted by another employee. He used his own money to purchase the pizza for me to rectify the situation. I applaud this young man for stepping up where his employer did not. I did not happen to catch his name, but he claimed he was the current prep cook on the weekends. I hope this employee receives a large raise and replaces the ‘acting General Manger’ because he knows how to treat his customers. I will not be returning to this establishment and the owners should be ashamed of themselves for running a restaurant that allows their employees/managers to act in such rude and benevolent ways. I would rate this establishment 0 stars if I could. I understand the Owner believes I am an ex employee. This is false and inappropriate. Another reason why I will not be returning.

Super yum pizza and a great price, $6.95! All the toppings you want for one price. People who work there are really nice too. Definitely on my list of go-to places.

If you love the TRUE Italian pizza, this is the place to go. My 74 years old (Italian) mother and I were surprised about the impeccable quality of the dough (!), the fresh ingredients (the tomato sauce is really good) and the traditional cooking style. Blaze? Come on. Good, I'm not saying no. But. This is the real deal.

Fantastic and definitely is now the best pizza place in Ames. We were big fans of Vesuvius and were sad to see it close, but glad to see that there's a new place in Ames that does woodfired pizza. Crust was fantastic and a good selection of toppings. Will be back!
