Wallaby's Bar and Grille

Great service, really good food (ate in bar area so don't know if they have a separate dining room menu). Four (or was it five? 🤔) IPAs on tap, but none of them are all that exceptional....should step up their game with, perhaps, Goose Island IPA, or the holy grail, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA! Ice cream pie on dessert menu....who doesn't love that?! Would go again when back in Ames.

Cool place with a flexible atmosphere, if you will. There's seating like your typical bar and grill, and there's also a side area without TV's. The menu has some variety with reasonable prices. Appetizers are great, and they definitely boast a wide array of drinks!

We had been here a couple of times when they first open and the service was slow and the food was hit or miss. Not anymore. Service is prompt and courteous. Best Onion Blossom around. Food in general was delicious. Larger rooms with TVs are great for a group watching a game and smaller rooms are great for a quieter more intimate meal.

Love this place. Friendly, attentive staff. Quality food. Good prices. The outdoor seating upstairs is nice in the spring and fall.

The service is great and the food was wonderful and flavorful! The portion was just right!
