What a spectacular evening we had here. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. Extremely reasonable prices for the level of food and the very generous portions. The concept is “elevated pub fare” and good god do they ever deliver. We each had a starter, a main, and [several] cocktails, and literally everything was showstopping. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable, as well. We can’t wait to come back in the summertime and enjoy the massive patio!

We had such a lovely time here. The ambience of the bar is wonderful. The food is delicious and portion sizes are very generous. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely return!!

I see a lot of reviews here that say the prices are too high and that the service is bad. I have to say that is not at all what I experienced! Fast, friendly service. Amazing atmosphere. And LOW PRICES! $15 for a burger and fries made by a classically trained chef??? YES PLEASE!

Finally had the opportunity to try Smith & Barrel. Amazing food and terrific ambiance. The Buttermilk fried Chicken was amazing and the curried prawns were incredible. Great drink menu as well and kid friendly. After 15 years of living in Carleton Place and having to go outside of town for casual fine dining my wife and I have finally found "our" spot in town

Fine service. Very good quality food. $16 for chicken tenders is a little pricey. Portions are large however. Fun and friendly place.
