Slim's BBQ

This small little gem was the perfect spot for a Vegan/ Carnivore duo to dine together. I had the cornbread with pulled pork and it was so delicious. The bread was just the right amount of crisp and crunch around the edges, moist and full of flavor. The presentation of the food was too pretty to not capture the memory and everything else about the meal and drinks was above average. Even their grapefruit juice was better than I’ve had and noteworthy! Having our server interact with us throughout the entire meal added to the fun. He even sat with us for a few minutes for conversation as he cheered us on to try our first ever pickle back. Great experience and a shout out to our camera shy server that we would ask for by name if only I could remember it!

Awesome BBQ! The brisket and ribs are very tasty. Staff were very friendly. The Mac and cheese was the highlight for sure, if you like spice you will love it! We had the banana pudding for dessert, prefect thing to share after dinner. The coleslaw was not my favourite. Would definitely recommend this place!

The BBQ was really good. The Mac & cheese was a bit on the spicy side for me. Brisket and ribs were F’ing’ delicious! Banana pudding topped it all off nicely!

Try their Jalapeño Mac n Cheese with pulled pork love the extra kick. The beauty of it's façade comes from its no-frills decor. Good portions of comfort food + drinks = perfect for summer. Tip: They have a hidden patio

Great presentation, and the staff was great unfortunately the ribs were obviously microwaved. There were cold in the center which was disappointing. The chicken sandwich and sweet tea were good. My friends mac n cheese was pretty watered down. Overall I think with a little more attention to detail this place could be amazing but for now I feel they have a little ways to go.

Giant portion for its price, delicious food and friendly staff. They have free pads and tempons in their washroom. Very supportive.

Daisy May platter. The flavours are decent. Chicken crispy. All three meats were, unfortunately, dry. My favourite was probably the spinach. I would not order again. Service is lacking. Stood there waiting for my takeout order that was sitting in the kitchen service window for ten minutes while I was watching the server play on her phone. There was only one table seated so not that it was busy. She was so focused on her phone it talk several calls to get her attention

I came here on a whim with my husband and another couple and I was so pleasantly surprised. Our server who was also bartending at the time was attentive and courteous. The food was well priced and as a vegan I was delighted to have multiple options to choose from. I ended up having the Cauliflower to start and the vegan chicken burger for dinner, both were awesome. I especially loved the dark sauce that came with the chicken burger, it was so flavorful. My husband had a brisket sandwich which was tasty, high quality and more food than he expected for the price. We left feeling full hurray for big portions and satisfied. We will definitely be coming back.

Slim's was great! We as a group of three tried a whole variety of things on the menu, and the fried chicken, corn bread and shrimp po boy were my personal faves, though the sides were all tasty. The flavours and spice profiles were balanced and all very "more-ish." The staff were fun and engaging as well. We'll be going back soon!
