Ive been to Vancouver over 100 times and never spent time at Stanley Park like i did this past trip. We rented bikes the best, fastest way to see the entire park and rode around at a beautiful pace. It is absolutely stunning! The park made it very simple and safe to ride your bike or walk in designated lanes. It was so well planned. The views are incredible.
To look at this place is motivation enough for a bike ride on the seawall. This rock and the tree above it are just simply beautiful! A fun game that I like to play when I’m out hiking in North Vancouver or West Vancouver: Try and find the rock from the mountains.
Rode the seawall with the family this morning. Rented bikes from spokes and had a blast of a morning. This spot was by far the most epic scene other than the totems on the ride. Speaks volumes that the rock was lonely so it made friends with a tree. Totally canadian!! And the vastness of English bay with all the cargo ships in the background was a pretty cool sight.
Great spot! Taking the merilees trail from third beach for about 10 minutes will bring you to a gorgeous lookout point above the rock.
Sunny weekends when we did biking here. Awesome experience to see the seawall..

Stanley Park is a beautiful place to walk or ride a bike. We set off early in the morning and completed the 9 Km loop before lunch. There are plenty of benches to sit and rest. We enjoyed the numerous places we stopped to take in the scenery along with the wildlife sightings.
One of my favourite spots in Vancouver. Siwash rock is a unique formation in the Vancouver area with a very long history you can read about online. If you want to get to it by bicycle you will need to go around most of Stanley park as it’s one way and this is near the end. It’s also one of the narrowest sections so you will need to tuck your bike to the side of you want to check it out for a bit. Walking you can get to it along the seawall for either direction or by hiking within Stanley park to a lookout above. You can’t go to the lookout directly from the seawall or Vice versa as there is no direct trail and it’s a decent walk around so pick your choice before setting out unless you have a lot of time.
Great view from the lookout point. Nice trail leading to the point. Not many people.
Enjoyed out walk around Stanley Park. We viewed Siwash from right above on the lookout. While your at the lookout look for the coin toss in the tree below. Can you land your coin? Sea wall was closed so we couldn’t walk down on the Sea wall to view Siwash rock
