It's a huge hollow tree. Nice spot for a picture.
It’s so sad these trees don’t exist anymore there but you get to understand why through posts explaining the history of Hollow Trees.
Interesting tree to check out for a quick photo
Steeped in history — it kinda always was a “dead tree” ... only now it’s shored up with engineered steel structure tucked inside — a unique Vsncouver anomaly. It’s a very cool yet quirky place & an interesting relic that was among Vancouver’s first touristy photo opp sites. There’s a series of information placards that explain everything. — I’ve included in my recent October 2019 photo upload. “Smallstudiodesign”.
No rock small or big should prevent you from carrying the tradition- as long as you know how to back in and not harming the tree!!
Extreemly old but oiled tree. Great for pictures! Last time I went there I saw some cayotes.
A great stop in Stanley Park. Park here to walk to Siwash Rock as well.
Must stop while driving through Stanley Park! 100 year old dead tree, wonderful picture stop! Limited Park at the Hollow Tree.
Must visit if your in the area. Very nice scenic trails.
Be very aware when you leave your car here. It just happened today. We parked our car at the Hollow Tree and we took a few walk to see around and take some pictures it took only 30-40 minutes, when we came back a thief broke our back window and took our friend’s bag pack. Unfotunately he left 1,000$ and passport in there... Becareful there are no guards or surveillance system. No way to find out. Sadly this was my first time to Canada and this happened....
