Silver Dragon Restaurant

I visited this restaurant based on a few recommendations on a community group and the good reviews on Google. I should start this by saying that I NEVER rate a restaurant based on the service provided. In my opinion, restaurants serve food and the food should be rated. If I were to rate the service, it would get a 10 out of 5 stars. Very friendly, smiley and lovely lady serving us. Gave us recommendations on how people usually share certain dishes and how it's cheaper to get a combo than two plates to share. However, the food was okay. Spring rolls were tasty, no complaints but nothing "wow". Chicken chow mein had three very small pieces of chicken, very dry not enough sauce and tasted like it was burnt. Beef chop suey had absolutely no flavor other than thickened soy sauce. Almond chicken had a very thick layer of flour that absorbed all the oil and became soggy and gross within minutes. The only almond flavor came from the powdered almond they sprinkle on top of the chicken... otherwise the chicken tasted like plain flour. I hate leaving bad reviews but I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. Lots of good reviews here but I wasn't impressed with the food. Hopefully it was just an off day but for now I will be trying other restaurants in the area.

Best Lunch Specials in town. Absolutely amazing Chinese Food, made fresh to my order every single time. Never once have I been even slightly disappointed with the food or the exceptional, friendly and welcoming service. This has been my daily go-to for lunch since I’ve found this little gem. 11/10 would recommend. Best Chinese food and best service I’ve ever had.

Food was good. Minimal msg and can even request no msg. But omg. Everything is soooo good

Truly a place to avoid. Spouse went to pick up the order. Upon opening, we found out there were items missing, one of which was charged on the receipt. When my spouse returned to the restaurant, the person was extremely rude and loud, without so much as an apology. One item that we were charged for was added, without an apology. The food was not to an acceptable standard. I will leave it at that. There are many other restaurants to choose from. We hope this review, along with other reviewers, help to serve you in making an informed choice.

Don't be turned off by the dated decor. This place is a hidden gem for a cheap and tasty bite to eat for lunch. Very affordable and always hits the spot. They have set combos but will chop and change this dishes if you ask for an extra buck The waitress is so nice and always good for a laugh. Go here pretty regularly and always leave very satisfied

This place has gone down hill in the last year and they don't care or offer any compensation if they mess up your order. I drive from Surrey to get good Chinese food since there is no place here to get any and I miss the old waitress this new girl is so not a people person she doesn't even say thank you when I tip her. I have been eating here for almost 30 yrs and I won't go back now even the food is greasy and not like it used to be so sad I will not ever be having Chinese food unless I go to Chilliwack

We have been ordering from Silver Dragon for years. It was sold and is now Langley Dragon. They’ve changed their spring rolls and are awful. Deep fried prawns are over cooked and have no flavour. Sweet and Sour Pork is over cooked. Husband wanted to sub rice for chow mien and they charged $0.75?. That’s a first. Then they called back to say they ran out of rice. Really? At 6:30 on a Friday night?!?! And no plum sauce or soy sauce on delivery. These issues are all for one order! Gave them lots of chances. Won’t be ordering from here again.

The order was taken over the phone with an exceptional personality, helplful , cheerful, pleasant lady. The food arrived as a delivery within a half an hour of order, on a weekend,wow . I have a family of three and have in the last 30 years gone to and or ordered Chinese food as a simplistic way of eating all prepared . I thoroughly enjoyed the food that they brought and their dinner meal was actually enough for two harty appetite people . I highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food! Ate in. Perfectly proportioned. Had the dinner for four. Excellent service and they catered to a shellfish allergy with grace. Piping hot food and really clean environment. :

Excellent food and service. This is my go-to place in Langley for Chinese food when I'm missing flavours that remind me of home. The staff are super friendly and kind, so I always try to tip high when I can. The food is kinda westernised to cater to the Langley crowd, but quite a few dishes are exactly similar to what I remember my mom cooking. Not a huge fan of the chow mein, but I like their fun thick rice noodle dishes!
