So disappointed, first scallops were not fully cooked,I know row fresh scallops is edible, but this one is definitely not, white liquid in the shell smells bad. Second we ordered live bass, however it came with frozen fish, fresh fish will never taste like this! Tofu skin is too dry to eat. Service bad. Not recommended, will never come again.
I did not enjoy my experience at Sichuan Kungfu Fish. Their grilled fish takes a long time to cook... I waited almost half an hour for it to boil! The soup base was so diluted, you can tell by the colour. It had no flavour at all. Those fish were skinny as hell. The portions were very small and the dried beancurds were very hard. They didnt even soaked it in water. I almost lost my teeth chewing the damn beancurd. I also ordered a plate of crawfish, which tasted a bit strange. My friend had diarrhea after eating… Overall, the ingredients were not fresh. The atmosphere wasn’t good. The AC was not turned on, so many mosquitoes flew in. Also, there were a ton of takeaway boxes on the table next to us. Maybe theyre now using that space to stock their products? Had no idea. The restaurant looked messy. We were not comfortable sitting down. It was a sunday night, and there was only one waitress working on the weekend. so you can imagine how slow the food came out. Not coming back again…
Kung fu fish never disappoints!! Especially with their recent addition of the crispy carp !! Basically order all sorts of sides you want to add to your hotpot fish, favorites are probably spam, enoki mushroom, and their potato noodles!! Just keep an eye on the fire in case it goes out, just ask the staff to relight it for you!!
Really enjoyed my experience at Sichuan Kungfu Fish. We ordered the cod with the Sichuan peppercorn flavour as our main course and it was amazing. Would recommend letting the tray heat up a bit before digging in - it definitely helps the fish absorb the flavour. We also ordered the scallops which were a bit pricey at 4 for $11.99, but it ended up being extremely flavourful and definitely worth the price. The only thing was that we left the restaurant smelling a little...... fishy!
Food is tasty. Only thing you need to be aware of, all rice and noodle are not free. You have to pay 0.99-2.99 for a small bowl. When it compares to HWY location, the portion of the dishes is a bit less and small. If you don't mind to spend extra money on rice... It's ok to give it a try.
Each preference is different. For me this food is very spicy. My lips was on fire after 2-3 bites. I used alot of their tissues to wipe off my head and face. My review is solely based on my intake of spice. What is spicy for me mite not be spicy for others. Flavor was there but sadly their cuisine is not for me.
Ordered online and got my order in 15 minutes. The fish pot is a bit oily but delicious. Will try spicy options next time
Very good food if you like spicy hot Sichuan. The flavor is great service as well. Small restaurant. A definite must try.Food: 5/5
I like Kungfu Fish so much my friend invited me to eat here. And I love it since then before Covid. And I recommend my friends this resteraunt as well.
Ordered the fish pot, the taste was okay, but the portion is very small, with 60 bucks for a small fish and some add-ons, I think it’s not even enough for one person, so definitely overpriced.
