Unfortunately, my experiences with the pharmacy at this location have consistently been disappointing. While I don’t often leave negative reviews, I feel the need to share my ongoing concerns. On multiple occasions, I’ve been told my prescription would be ready, only to arrive and find that it isn’t, requiring me to either wait or come back later. I feel there is a lack or efficiency and it has been frustrating, especially since the store itself is convenient for me. Also, I’ve found the pharmacy staff to be less than welcoming during my visits, which makes each trip more stressful than it should be. I’ve decided to transfer my prescription to another pharmacy in hopes of receiving more reliable service.
My last few experiences at Kane Roads Shoppers Pharmacy have been appalling. I am not one to write reviews but I think I have a responsibility to do so and to find a new local pharmacy. In recent visits they have not had enough medication on hand to deliver on my prescription this is not my quarrel or what upset me what upset me is their treatment of customers, their inability to listen to concerns, and their condescending tones. I will say there is one female pharmacist with glasses that has always been pleasant and I don’t want these reviews to reflect on her.nnEarlier this year they filled a portion of a medication and when they didn’t call me for the remainder, I went in and they told me I had already picked up my full allotment. Which I had not. The pharmacy tech continued to tell me I was wrong and would cut me off when I was trying to explain the situationnnThen yesterday I called in asking for a refill and they said it would be ready in a couple hours. Late last night I went in to pick it up and after I paid I realized it seemed like a smaller amount, I re read the bottle and it was filled with 30 saying 8/9 refills leftnBut on the bottle in large letters it says “dispense 90 every 85 days”nnI went back to the counter to inquire and the pharmacy tech appeared very confused. She then said she wasn’t sure what happened but we needed to refund and I’d have to wait 5 minutes for the time lock. Totally fine. I wait and the pharmacist then calls me over and only gives me 7 pills, telling me they don’t have enough and that I’ll have to pick up in a few days. I say okay- can you ensure that they call me when they fill the rest and he says we can’t do that.. I am now confused as I will need to guess on pick up time. I ask and he then becomes condescending to me telling me i should have called them a few days in advance if I wanted my whole medication. I replied saying no one told me you didn’t have enough when I called to refill, nor when I paid for an incomplete prescription. I said the bottle clearly states the amount… it would be your responsibility to ensure the patient/customer/ consumer knows that you did not fulfill their whole prescription. He tried to tell me that I only pick up monthly which I do not - I come every three months. He appeared to have an inability to own a mistake or an oversight. Telling me he filled this and that i was wrong. He then told me he doesn’t have to dispense the amount on my prescription as detailed by my doctor—- that I don’t understand. I then informed him that I would like to pay for my medication which again he originally gave me 30… then reduced it to only 7… and that I would retrieve the rest in a few days and then transfer all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy. He continued to belittle me and tell me that I don’t listen. I had to ask at least 4 times to just let me pay and leave.nnExtremely disappointed with this experience in particular. I am someone who will ask questions and ensure that i am not being belittled or taken advantage of. My larger concern is many of the customers here are elderly or may not have the same willingness to stand up. As I said I will not lump this review with the lovely female pharmacist who has not shown this but this reflects one male pharmacist and several disheartening experiences with some of the pharmacy techs.nnTo reiterate- I am not upset with supply issues. I am upset with some employees treatment of customers and would love to see a positive constructive change for other customers and whose who continue to use this pharmacy.
Quite possibly the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered in a Shoppers. Like every single time I go in I’m like NEVER AGAIN. Maybe it’s part of the hiring process? Only the rudest and laziest staff hired for this location? Next time I will drive straight past and never go back. Honestly it’s consistently the worst. Avoid avoid!
For the most part the post office staff are fabulous. But there is one woman who ruins it for them all. She is so incredibly rude I’m shocked she’s been able to keep her job. She acts like customers are all beneath her, literally ordering ppl around and giving rude looks, dismissive of ppl and generally appalling behaviour by someone who works in the service industry. She seems to have forgotten that the customers are the only reason she has a job. Furthermore, Canada post isn’t exactly in their glow up era. The organization is on life support. And having rude, bitchy staff in customer service isn’t going to encourage ppl to keep giving Canada post business when we have numerous other options. She needs a serious reality check.
Would love to go lower than a 1, same issues as everyone else so ignore their response that they take this seriously and will fix it. Had one prescription and 5 refills, none ever on time or complete. Started with over the phone being told it’s ready, show up and told it’s not there and to come back tomorrow; then tomorrow it’s only partially there and need to come back again. Same process all 6 visits. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY.
