Shoppers Drug Mart

The worst experience ever! There is a very young guy called Kevin at the Canada Post inside the Shoppers Drug Mart which I can bet is a relative of the manager. Otherwise, it is not possible for someone so young, inexperienced and incompetent to keep a job there. I went there three times for different mail orders, and all the three times, Kevin made the most ridiculous mistakes that caused my parcels to be "Returned to the Sender". Even if Kevin had the most basic training, these mistakes would not have happened. Kevin did not even know how much stamp was needed for one parcel, causing the parcel to be returned to me. Another time, he assured me that he had register mailed the parcel, but he had sent it with the regular mail. And another time, he had no clue that register mail does not apply to all the international countries. Avoid this branch of Canada Post, or at least make sure that there is someone other than Kevin at the counter.

I have always been happy with their service especially the Canada Post rep. Always so patient and informative if you need advice on international postage cost . But I had my most annoying experience just 30mins ago with one of their Persian counter stuff. I forgot to get her name but I told her I bought an expired day pass from them yesterday with a receipt. Told her I needed a refund because TransLink told me to go back. She just said they cannot except any refund or exchange. I need to go to the compass office to settle the problem. She said I should have looked at the terms on the card before buying since it said non refundable. I asked for the manager and she said don't waste time. Her supervisor, Patricia eventually attended to me and exchange the cards for me with apology. What really pissed me off was that she came back to me while her supervisor went to look for the cards for exchange. She said her supervisor made a mistake and should not be doing so. Despite all these, I must say I am appreciative of what Patricia the supervisor did for her customer. Awesome customer service and quick to respond. They will probably need to train the stuff better to maintain that consistency though.

Had dental surgery today and went to this store to get the prescription and waiting for about 30 mins while I was the only customer and they had 4 people working in the shop. I couldn't even get to the pharmacist to get the explanation of the medicines I got from them, the assistant just came to me and said the pharmacist would call me later as she was busy with her phone. My medicine was the simple one which only required 5-10sec explanation. If this is how they treat their customer, I won't go even near to the shopper drug mart ever again. Horrible customer service ever. Still waiting for a phone call them and I cannot eat the medicine before I get explained....

A little bleak, a bit stale, but overall an acceptable place to shop. They occasionally have good deals on their clearance rack.

They are very patient and accommodating of me at the Post Office counter. I receive a lot of packages and they are quick to bring them to me. Top marks there. On the drug store side of things, it's large and well stocked, and very handy.
