Portion sizes were a little small for the cost though and that certainly put me off. I would've expected prices at least 20% lower for what I got. The 2 ladies preparing the food seemed friendly but the guy taking the order seemed inconvenienced and oblivious as I was waiting to place an order. He happily chatted away for 2 minutes before bothering to take my order. The place especially around the waste basket could certainly use some through cleaning. It was extremely dirty. Still giving it 4 stars for the good food.
Great meal with good portions. Glad to have shawarma with tender chicken, generous sauces, and fresh vegetables. It’s always delicious. The servers are helpful and friendly.
My new favourite shawarma place, the flavours are off the charts!! Discovered this place a few months ago and we have been going almost weekly since, this is how much we crave it. My favourite is the chicken shawarma, and the rice the plates come with is so nicely spiced with cumin and dill, a brilliant medley of flavours in every bite. We get the family combo that comes with 2 shawarma plates, two mind blowing lentil / chickpea soups, 2 soda, such great value! Don’t sleep on these soups, if Gods could bestow mere mortals with flavour, it would be in these soups. We love their shawarma so much, but I can’t wait to try other items on their menu, I’m sure it’s all good as they know their flavours. And with their fresh baked pita, it can’t be beat!
Always passed by this place while driving and it was always busy. Finally picked up some take out and it did not disappoint. Very generous with the portions and it was extremely filling that we had to eat the leftovers for lunch the next day. Prompt and courteous service as well. Will be back when I crave the chicken plate.
Small restaurant on a busy street with only residential street parking around. Got two Mixed Plates Chicken & Beef and Chicken & Falafel plus 6 pcs Veggie Fatayer. Food was delicious and portions were adequate. Happy to support small local restaurant.
First time customer alert First impressions not so great: Came in waiting without any welcome and stood there while she was packing. Was kinda awkward.. Same time wasn't aware it would take 20mins to get everything done. Comments below: They only take debit or cash if you walk in. Price also increased so the menu you see online is more now. My photos below are the updated menus. -Food taste is good but portions are smaller now compared to online images. -They do give lots of sauce which is nice though I did a substitute for tzakiki but she forgot and did Hummus which I corrected her before she added all the other dishes. -Also looks like they cater more to there online orders than in store ordering. -Along with this they didn't have Harira soup which the lady did not know and same time she didn't know what was included in the Family Combo. She might be new but same time not the greatest impression. Overall: - not sure I would come back based off experience and might be last resort place if I crave shawarma.‍ Parking: Street parking on busy area
Guys this is my first time here and although I haven't tried all of the donair spots in Greater Vancouver, I can say with confidence that this is a top tier fast casual Middle Eastern donair kababs eatery and it has become my favourite! I got the beef and chicken platter and everything tasted fresh and herbaceous!! Like I can actually taste the freshness of the meat and their pita bread. Nothing was cold or rubbery. Their rice was seasoned!! Everything exceeded my expectations and I was in disbelief how good it was. And the amount of meat in my platter was simply astounding! Definitely come check them out if you are in the neighbourhood!
Tried ordering take out from here a little while ago. It's difficult to find a good shawarma place around south east Vancouver but happy to say the food here is pretty darn good. Got the mixed beef and chicken shawarma plate and enjoyed the tabouli and meats. Also tried the falafel wrap and I enjoyed the crispyness of the fried falafel patties and how tight it was wrapped. They also have samosas here. They are huge and have a nice thin and crispy wrapper a bit on the expensive side maybe.
Fiancé and I tried Shawarma Cafe for takeout with friends and it was absolutely delicious! I chose the Mixed Plate with Chicken and Falafel while fiancé chose the Lamb Shank Plate. Both come with house salad, hummus, and fresh homemade pita bread. For mine, I was able to choose three sauces to go with it, in which I chose Tzatziki, tahini, and garlic sauces. They all went well with the meal. And the hummus was ! Fiancé really enjoyed his Lamb Shank! I must say though, the fresh cut Chicken shawarma was so good... my favourite of the whole meal. Also, even the rice was flavourful. Definitely highly recommend!
We have high expectation because of the reviews that I read here but when we went there today evening we are totally disappointed. Wasted $20. The beef wrap it says roasted beef but it turned out as beef loaf. I only had 2 bites and lost my appetite. Never to try this again. Surroundings and preparation wise, it needs proper sanitation and staff must wear mask since they are handling food. You can see the clutter in the kitchen from the outside. Cleanliness matters!!
