I got 2pc chicken leg & thigh $6.95 +tax to try it out. I ate it hot in the restaurant. If you don't like thickly breaded fried chicken, this place is what you want, they barely had any breading on the fried chicken. The flavour was very tasty, but not unique. The chicken I had was very juicy and hot inside, you could tell it was fresh. Will I go again? Maybe, maybe not, there is so much competition in Vancouver. The same order across the street was $7.95 +tax.
Tried the new Spicy Brioche Fried Chicken Sandwich. And to my surprise, it was a disappointment. The sandwich tasted good overall and I really liked the soft brioche bun. However, there was nothing spicy about this sandwich. Furthermore, instead of a nice juicy piece of thigh or breast meat, you get two small chicken strips. And this is a $9 chicken sandwich! It’s comparable in size to a junior chicken from McDonald’s. The only thing you got a lot of was an excessive amount of mayo, possibly to over compensate for the lack of chicken. For this ridiculous $9 price tag, you can get a much better and larger chicken sandwich at various competitors.
This place is great! Love the flavour of their fried chicken and their Filipino style macaroni is awesome. Dare I say, it’s Pinoy approved! Their fries are also freshly prepared not frozen! and very tasty, along with their chicken sandwich. Service at this location has always been good, with kind and polite staff. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a solid fried chicken joint. It’s a nice change from all the other kind of fried chicken & chicken wings out there!
The chicken meal with a Groupon voucher was delicious! The chicken was perfectly fried n juicy. No raw meat by the bone! Plenty of sides to accompany the chicken.
We come here to try Philippine style fried chicken. It's unique but after trying twice, it's just not my type of fried chicken. Spicy flavour is mostly in the outer layer of fried chicken. Has a slight bitter taste similar to paprika. Portions could and should be bigger... 5 pieces is ~18 dollars and fried chicken sandwich ~13. Compared to other fried chicken places and burgers I don't think it's worth it. You can order online through skip the dishes or under eats. The Filipino style macaroni is ketchup base with hot dogs slices and the side order comes in a really small size cup. Parking is free 1 hour, about 6 or 7 spots. They missed our small order of fries which was really disappointing but offered to give us a large fries the next time we come back.
My go to fried kitchen place in Vancouver. Their chicken is always fresh, flavourful, crispy, and juicy. The staff were super friendly and they provided great customer service. My family and I love coming here all the time to support this local business! 10/10 would recommend! :-
Three piece combo with side. I chose the fries. I added also the gravy and a canned pop. Chicken quality is mixed: the drumstick was very good but the thigh is not so much. Drumstick had plenty of meat on the bone and a decent amount of juice with the bite. The thighs however were tiny and you don't get much food per thigh. Also the skin to meat ratio with the thighs made the seasoning very unbalanced since it concentrates almost entirely on the skin. If you can choose what you get, I recommend you sticking to the drumsticks. Speaking of seasoning, what stands out most is the salt and pepper. Visual inspection indicate there seems a lot more than that but the other spices get lost in the powerful load of salt and pepper. This isn't too much of a problem it's still pretty tasty if not a bit too salty. The gravy itself is decent, standard fare, itself being heavily spiced with salt and pepper. No complaints with the gravy but I did feel it was unnecessary after having the first bite of chicken, realizing how seasoned the chicken was. The fries were not the greatest, the texture of them felt dry and powdery on the inside and the box consisted of a lot of pieces that are just crunchy chunks of potato skin. It wasn't horrible but it made me think I maybe should have tried the mash or the filipino macaroni instead. Maybe next time. Total cost was $17.91. All in all it was decent, granted there were some things that didn't hit all of my boxes but there were also others that were perfect, like the drumsticks. I'd definitely come back and try something else on the menu.
Don't let the run down look of this place make you turn around and walk away. I almost did, that would have been a real Shame. If I did I would have missed out on the best Fried Chicken that I've had on a long time. The coating wasn't over or under seasoned, it was just right, delicious! The Fries were nice and crispy too. I'll be happily going there again and again. Sooooo much better then the option across the street.
Win-win chicken is my favourite in Vancouver! After coming to Win-Win chicken for so many times, my family and I still prefer this place. They use non-GMO ingredients and everything is freshly made in house. Staff are always friendly and helpful, we love coming here and supporting this local business.
This place has some of the best chicken I've ever tasted. It is fresh, crispy, flavorful, and very rich. I don't leave high praise like this to often but I was delighted by how amazing the food was. The customer service was amazing, the owner even came out to greet me and my friend after he heard that it was our first time there. To summarize, this place makes great food at great prices. Honestly, what more could you really ask for?
