Story

Located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, the Shaw Conference Centre overlooks the beautiful North Saskatchewan River Valley, the largest stretch of urban parkland in North America. Our location provides access to over 2,000 downtown hotel rooms plus shopping, entertainment, dining, and transportation.

Whether you are planning a meeting for 6, a wedding reception for 60, a Christmas party for 1,000, or a convention for 6,000 the Shaw Conference Centre is the perfect venue. Planners are able to access the services of all our in-house suppliers through one easy contact, and guests will experience the award-winning cuisine and first-class service of Shaw Conference Centre staff.

Managed by Edmonton Economic Development Corporation to provide economic and social benefits to the community. We create exceptional customer experiences for half a million guests annually, who in turn generate $50.6 million in spending across the province.

Products

We offer over 150,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space. Events take place on 3 levels:

Pedway Level
Pedways connect the Centre to underground parking, major office buildings, hotels, shops, restaurants, and Edmonton’s Downtown Arts District.
- Hall D offers 26,900 square feet of meeting space on the Pedway Level. This room is the perfect venue for conventions, large dinners, shows, or major meetings. A dramatic glass wall opens this great space to the natural light and the river valley. Hall D accommodates 1,200 guests for meals or receptions, or 2,000 in a theatre setting.
-The Riverview Room is tucked away on the Pedway Level, ensuring privacy for your event. This room has an outdoor patio, spectacular view of the River Valley and holds 130 for banquets or 200 for receptions.

Assembly Level
This level accommodates up to 6,000 people theatre-style or a trade show with about 335 booths.The Assembly Level’s 82,000 square feet of wide open exhibit space can be divided into three halls. It has a 16,000-square-foot, carpeted lobby, convention VIP offices, and a 6-bay loading dock.

Meeting Room Level
This level features 20 flexible rooms ranging from 395 to 3,720 square feet. Perfect for meetings, workshops, receptions or smaller conferences.
