My girlfriend booked a night for us and I was extremely impressed with my stay. Our room was so nice, the mini fridge had 2 platters of cheese, grapes and crackers along with wine. The fireplace was a nice touch to set the mood for the evening. The following morning we went downstairs and had an amazing hot breakfast. We were the last one down there for breakfast and we were so grateful that the kitchen was willing to accommodate us. At some point during the meal, our server dimmed the lights down and that gesture was so appreciated. If you want to stay somewhere were you will feel taken care of, don't hesitate to book a stay at this hotel. From the front-desk staff to staff taking care of the rooms, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly attitude. We'll be back to stay again for sure!
This is such an amazing hotel! From the moment we stepped in the door until we left we were treated so well. We loved the wine and cheese in the evening, had a wonderful park view, and the fireplace was beautiful! The staff is incredible, the hotel is very clean, and our room was even more than we expected. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you for such a memorable experience.
Stayed at the Union Bank over 10 years ago on business and decided to stay for a recent visit to Edmonton. It was even better than I remember and have to say that every one of the staff were exceptional. Our room was lovely and the wine and cheese was such a nice touch. Kevin in Madison’s Grill was top notch. The breakfast was excellent and we were sorry we didn’t get a chance to experience dinner there. This is a must stay hotel for downtown Edmonton and we are already planning another stay as soon as possible. Well done Union Bank Inn!!! So impressed.
Excellent stay. We stayed in the contemporary wing in the Presidential suite. The room was beautiful and so clean. The complimentary wine and cheese were a nice addition. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve slept on. Fabulous complimentary breakfast in the beautiful restaurant. Friendly and courteous staff. We met one of the owners on our way out and she was very personable. We will definitely be staying again! Next time we will try the historical wing
This place is absolutely beautiful! The staff were so friendly and helpful especially Azza. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated with a fireplace and the bed was extra comfy. The restaurant is lovely and has a wonderful ambience. My husband and I really enjoyed the six-course meal and the wine pairing. Everything was delicious and well-presented. We will be back and would recommend this Boutique Hotel as an absolute must for anyone who wants to be downtown in Edmonton.
Four stars. Upon arrival we were not sure where to park or what the ramifications of parking were. The hotel charged us $60.00 to park for two nights... No one helped us bring in our luggage as we navigated a barrage of transient individuals. Overall the service was good. Food was mediocre. First night the meal was spot on. Steak was cooked to perfection. Second night the chicken was over cooked and the braised ribs were lacking... Room was clean. Social distancing minimums were apparent yet we didn't feel comfortable settling in until we had thoroughly sanitized the room. The bath tub wasn't as clean looking as we had hoped. But they sure did have fuzzy soft housecoats. We would stay here again but venture out for meals and find our own parking.
We stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was amazing. From the moment we walked in to the time we left we couldnt of asked for a better romantic getaway then the one we had. They upgraded our room free of charge and allowed us to check in early. The woman at the front desk was incredible kind and helpful. The complimentary wine and cheese was lovely and they added chocolate covered cherries which were delicious. The bed was very comfortable and we had a restful sleep in the gorgeous, clean, beautifully decorated room We stayed in the heritage wing. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and the service was top notch. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to whoever is looking for a romantic getaway in the city. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you for a memorable anniversary!
We came for a one night stay for our anniversary. The room was spacious, clean and they have wine and cheese waiting for you. Small added touches are lovely. Bed very comfy. We are at the restaurant for supper. We had the hen and seafood pasta. Both were delicious. Cute place. We had breakfast there as well. Salmon eggs Benny exceeded my standards. All the people we talked to were great. They helped us find parking too. Very busy downtown due to Christmas parties. Would stay here again.
** Note this review is based on the previous owners, Go Auto Corporation are the new owners. It is a wonderful little hotel with an amazing restaurant on the main floor. It is full of character, and the service was alway wonderful. I had hoped to return there for our 10 year anniversary, as this is where we were married, but due to renovations they will be closed. I truly hope the new owners can maintain the feel of the place, while still putting on their own touches.
Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and unique suites! Perfect location. This was our third staycation since covid started and it is our favourite!! We will be back as soon as possible! The breakfast was amazing and the wine & cheese that was awaiting us in our room upon arrival was such a great treat! We can’t say enough positives about our experience. Thank you for making a stressful time very relaxing for us.
