Good value and delicious food. They have a relative a small menu and the service is fast. I ordered on their website and went to pick up within 10 minutes. We love the pan fried buns and juice dumplings. Follow me for more food adventures on Instagram at @maggielicious.to
I always stopped by Juicy Dumplings when I’m in China town as I love their San Jing Bao, not long ago, I realized Shanghai Dimsum in Richmond Hill is actually the same store as Juicy Dumplings. This restaurant in Richmond Hill has been around for a long time and it’s known for the good price and good taste. They used to open for breakfast with good variety at unbeatable price, but they closed the store for several months during pandemic and now their operating hour is from 11am onwards. They no longer offer a full menu, they now has limited choices but most of my favorites are there so I am good. Price is slightly higher than the downtown branch but taste is consistent. Do not order their onion pancake because they deep fried it and it is very greasy.
I didn't realize the menu has changed. I miss the old menu. Now it's the same as the downtown location Juicy Dumpling. We ordered and sat right down and everything was warm, I don't think they steamed it fresh for us. The spicy shrimp wontons had no spice at all. Tasted more like soy sauce and vinegar. If I had a choice I'd rather go to the downtown location.
Pan fried xiaolongbao‍the moment I opened it, the smell of oil was coming. While the skin is perfectly thin and the filling is decent with lots of meat juice, overall it’s way too heavy and greasy for me those hanging huge dolls are kind of scary, dimming ceiling lights and lights from the catching machine… The ambient is really weird, Chinese cyberpunk? The washroom is a mess. The food are not terrible, but the business is really off point
Price of xlb increased $1 before tax, but inflation everywhere it's understandable. Love their steamed pork buns and pan fried pork buns. The rest of the menu is okay. The wonton is okay, just like what you would expected. The red sauce dumplings or I don't know how you should translate it. But I was expecting that to be spicy as it should be, but it was sweet. It's still good, but not what might be expecting. Please feel free to follow me on IG & YouTube: Mandilicous Tiktok & Fb: Missmandilicous for food & lifestyle posts in GTA
Food is great but I was disappointed that there is no Dim Sum in the menu when the name of the restaurant says “Shanghai Dim Sum”. The restaurant has limited menu. It’s a self serve restaurant. Children friendly.
Very limited menu. Lot of pictures you see here are from before when full menu was available and they actually served. Now you just go to the counter and order. They give you food in takeout containers and bags. You can go to a table and unpack and eat. Felt a bit weird. But some of the best dumplings I had.
I placed an order for two boxes of mini soup dumplings and the store will only give me one drip of vinegar and one pair of utensils. I don’t know if it’s a mistake or this store is just extremely cheap. Definitely not cool.
Food is delicious and super big portion, we order chef special menu for 10 people. We have 14 people and still have to pack a few boxes. Price is unbelievable reasonable. The only area for improvement is "service"
Quality hit rock bottom ever since COVID. Glad I don’t have to pay gratuities anymore. Food quality is meh. It was so much better before when they had proper dine in setup. They now have these claw games that absolutely does not suit the space. What a shame.
