Story

Shaika Cafe is a lively, upbeat independent Cafe situated in the heart of NDG. Great for meetings, studying, or a bite to eat or drink while sitting inside, or on our street-side terrace. Perfect for adults and kids alike! Come by in the evening for a wide variety of live music and events!

:)  Love the ambience, the art shows, the staff!  And overall, I like the menu and foods /drinks...  However, as a baker myself, I was disaappointed that the cookies I've tried  there seemed stale and not very tasty or I would have given them 5 stars ... (Granted,  I got vegan cookies...so maybe they were fresh enough and fell apart due to lack of egg binder, not staleness. Still, tasty  is definitely doable, even baking vegan. Will eat their other vegan foods happily, though!)

Nice kind of interior. Food and beverage items could be better served with more selection at a no frills price. Customer service at front counter was good. I'd probably go if they had actual live music and readings which would be really nice. Please also fix the signage at the front so it could be correctly viewed and even comprehended by people who have no real clue of what is inside when driving by!

Nice local spot to grab a coffee, there's plenty of room to work on your laptop. They have good food too.

Nice coffee shop! Good options for vegans or vegetarians. Nice staff. Certain menu items are a little overpriced.
