Second Cup

Stopped by at 9pm. Just after they closed. The owner asked what I wanted - 2 teas. Made them for me and said they were complimentary. Awesome service. Way above and beyond what I expected. It wasn't necessary but it was very much appreciated. Well done. I'll definitely be stopping by next time I'm in the area.

Ownership has changed again and not for the better. I was so happy with the new owners, who were bought out about 3 months back. Now it is a far less happy place. The attitude is that you are somehow bothering them and cleanliness has gone downhill. Of course there are always exceptions. For example , there are two young women who work here both blonde. One of them is really friendly and professional and then there’s another one with glasses who is cranky and argumentative every time (in my experience). They really need to up the service, to at least act a bit friendly toward customers versus pissed off when asked to do simple things like make a coffee.

One of the best, if not the best Second Cup in Ottawa. Refreshing ambiance as you walk in. Service is great, I have no idea what others are on about. Always a pleasant experience with Sateara. Always a discount or more quantity given if anything is out of order (or even just because they feel like being nice that day). Spacious, nice interior design and well sorted seating inside. Outside on hot summer days welcomes a beautiful patio. This location also offer specials that no other second cup does (free snack item with purchase of smoothie). This place was definitely my summer go to, and looking forward to warm cozy winters with a white mocha or hot chocolate please!

Great coffee, food and nice atmosphere inside. My only complaint is that it always seems to be slightly understaffed. Regardless, I will certainly be back.

I've been here several times over the last five years and ever since they renovated it's been my favorite second cup location! It's spacious, lots of light, friendly staff and service. It's not under new management (they're super nice) and it's a HUGE difference. The wifi is strong, coffee is fresh, food selection is very good and noise levels are not bad even when busy. I often meet clients here too because it's a nice central location too!
