I finally made it to Sea Ranch, loved it! Dined in, had a Scallop Roll and Eel Roll with Cucumber, both excellent! Great prices as well, very fresh ingredients, rolled right then. Cute, small place well laid out with a small grocery section with about a dozen tables of 2 or 4 with comfortable seating. Check it out! I know I'll be back. I was going to take a pic of the meal right away, but it looked so good I dug into it right away, remembered after a few bites!

A cute little market that has delicious sushi. My partner and I are personally like getting two of the sushi deluxe combos and the value is beyond worth. The cuts of fish for nigiri are very generous and fresh. The maki rolls have a good amount of ingredients as well. The staff is very friendly and always greet even when it’s just pickup. Highly recommend !! update: I have been here a few times since, this place is consistent and still has great food across the menu. the weekday special D was sooo tasty, and was a unique combination for a roll. I also want to add that they are allergy friendly. i put sesame allergy and they even confirmed in person about what was in the plates we ordered. I really appreciate this !! i will continue to come here for the fresh fish and great prices !
Very consistent good quality sushi in Evanston - you get what you would expect but nothing super spectacular. Take out orders are always properly wrapped to make sure it’s in the best quality to eat at home. Other than sushi, the store also sells many different Japanese products such as seasoning, ramen and mochi.
Sea Ranch has been one of my favorite sushi places in Evanston for ages. Not only is their sushi delicious and affordable, but the grocery aisle is super comprehensive for the size! It’s so nice to be able to grab curry mix, Japanese teas, and even onigiri so close to my home. The main reason I am writing this review is because I was so blown away with their customer service on a recent order. My friend was visiting and has severe celiac. I was excited to see how large and comprehensive the gluten free menu was. Not only that, but the staff were so careful to package the GF items separately as I requested. They even included GF soy sauce which we didn’t request! It’s so nice to see a place you already love go above and beyond. Thank you so much Sea Ranch! Dietary restrictions: There are great options for gluten free and celiac individuals. And staff will package items separately if requested
The restaurant is very unassuming, but the food is fantastic. There are very few tables, but it seems like most people get take out anyway. There’s a cute little Japanese grocery section right inside the restaurant if you are looking for staples like konbu or soba. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian rolls available. Parking: Easy street parking.
The chirashi udon set was fresh and delicious all around, and a good value. I also got a piece of nigiri on the side and wish I got more! Friendly staff, easy ordering, easy pickup
Perfect for quick and non-fussy sushi that's still great quality and a bargain price point. This place is definitely not your average sushi joint - perfect for two but not ideal for a group meal. The store is half food service and half small japanese dry grocery with some sashimi-grade fish.
Sea ranch is an amazing sushi place in the chicago suburbs! Amazing quality of the fish, nice sticky rice to hold everything together, and it’s all relatively affordable! If you are visiting evanston and have a sushi craving, then this place is for you.
I’ve been going to this place for a few years and the sushi is really good. But suddenly they don’t do substitutions. I offered to pay extra to substitute one nigri in the deluxe meal, but they refused to make the substitution. Also they use environmentally unfriendly disposable packages like non-recyclable plastic and styrofoam.
