Like always good food and that is why I go there. Great wine selection and some cocktails too you can see they understaffed but service is pleasant and they working hard. But again I come for the food!!!
The service was excellant. Our waiter was very good and knowledgeable about the food. The barley soup was delicious. The baked feta appetizer in the cooked tomatoes, red peppers, and onions as well as the grilled mushrooms were amazing! Their hummus is delicately seasoned and the warm persian flat bread was perfect with it. The ground beef kebabs with the dill rice were tender and moist and very flavorful. There was almost no difference in flavor between the ground lamb kebab and the ground beef kebab. The carrot cake was dry and crumbly by itself but the cream cheese frosting was rich and decadent. I liked the persian touches in the decor but the spray paint on the upper part of the walls seems out of place. I will definitely be going back and definitely recommend this restaurant.
The vegetarian plate was some of the best food I’ve ever had! Very generous for the price, too. And the owner I think? was very kind.
Excellent food! The lamb was so tender and juicy. The vegetarian dish was so delicious. The ambiance was great. It is also spacious. Love it!
We only saw one staff member doing everything it seemed, but he was superhuman and made the experience great. Delicious good, water filled, split the check, to go containers, and so on, attending to multiple tables. The food is great. Kabob combo is delish for $20, or combine a kabob and rice appetizer for closer to $10.Food: 5/5
Delicious, flavorful food. Very tender kebabs, good vegetarian options, and good signature cocktails that weren't too sweet. Large portion sizes that made excellent next day lunch.
Not many people out on a rainy Wednesday night. Fantastic service. Love the charred barg kabob, absolutely delicious - I recommend it medium well, as did the waitstaff. Will definitely be back in the future
We have been going to Reza's regularly for years. Including the evanston location. Today's food was disappointing- the tomato lentil soup was too salty...the dill rice looked and tasted reheated - the dill looked old and overdone. We always carry our leftovers because we generally order 2 mains. Today we ordered 1 main and neither finished nor carried it out. Even the wine selection has been pared down to 1 house red and 1 house white. The red was a bit sweet if thats what you like. Not at all we expected - the food was sub par. Hopefully an aberration and not a sign of things to come.
The restaurant is pretty good and has a lot of space. The mushrooms are delicious and chicken spread on rice is recommended too.
