Scotiabank

My experience of this bank is interesting. The team members, though they got to cover a lot of people they always smile. The best time to bank here is before one o'clock. After 1 PM, it's not good to go. After all, I liked the way they approach and communicate to customers, show easy way to deposit money to the machine rather wasting time on the queue. I hope they should be open weekends.

Most poorly trained and incompetent bank staff I've ever had the experience with. I ordered a Scotiabank Amex online which showed up at the branch and notified by email. I go to this branch. The front desk lady (by far the worst in this story) sends me home saying they need to call me "so don't come in until we do". MORE than a month later I received no calls. I call head office and ask what's going on. They're not sure why she sent me home as it's a very "simple process". That I can pick it up next time I go in. So I go back. SHE SENDS ME HOME AGAIN. Saying they are waiting on documents. Not specifying what documents, and from who. I call head office who tells me THE CARD WAS ACTIVATED FROM WHEN I WENT TO THE BRANCH THE FIRST TIME. How is this possible? Who activated it? The same woman at the branch states she has the card in her hand so no one has activated it, she's not sure why head office said that. Head office and the branch are telling me several contradictory things and refuse to actually communicate with each other. So now I'm sitting at home almost two months later with no card and communication from the branch. I then get a call from head office saying the documents which are missing is my income verification. So I need to go back and show the branch these documents. They say they don't know why the branch didn't tell me this info. LOL! At this point I'm scrapping the card. Will never provide them a cent of my business.

Feb. 2018 - Arrived for an appointment on time, checked in, told to wait, then ignored for an hour while my Advisor chatted with an old friend. Other people arrived to their appointment with her after me and are waiting. Nov. 2017 - Cannot call branch to make appointment. Cannot walk in to see an adviser. Cannot walk in to make an appointment !!! Once they take your money, it's theirs to bleed your account dry!!

The most abysmal scotiabank I’ve ever been too. It’s always packed with people, the staff are mean, unfeeling, rude and not helpful. There’s some nuisances I have to take care of there and every time I enter I’m filled with genuine dread. Find another bank if you can!

I would love to give a shout out to the service that I've received at this branch recently, especially to Jessica, who provided me with probably the best personal service I've received in a very long time. Thank You.
