Story

Scenic Resort offers 7 rental units, open from April to November.

All cabins are completely furnished. Kitchens are fully accessorized with dishes, silverware, pots, and baking supplies and electric fans.

Each cabin has an air furnace and water heaters
4 picnic tables to host a party of any size (one sits 24 people)
Each cabin has 2-3 electric fans
9 Lounge chairs
2 Hammocks

A sandy private beach

Located on US 23, outside the city limits of Oscoda, Sable Beach-Scenic Resort is just 2.5 miles south of Au Sable River.

The cottage was very clean, and we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. We stayed one night and went to bed and woke up with the sound of waves lapping on the shore. That was worth every penny right there. I would stay there again. There where multiple people swimming from the beach and there was a campfire at dark. There was a community area near the beach and campfire that people congregated around. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Not sure why the reviews are low. We stayed this past weekend and enjoyed it. Nice and clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Cabin was stocked well and we had a very comfortable Queen size bed! Nice place for an extended weekend getaway right on Lake Huron!

Stay away from this place. NOT pet friendly. NOT family friendly. Ran by incompetent people. Made reservations. Drove 3 1/2 hours with a 10 month old and our dog to be told that pets aren't welcome. Owner hung the phone up on my wife! Waste of time and energy. So many other places to spend your money so why do it here. Place looked like a dump on the outside too. Wouldn't be surprised if they had bedbugs. Might have been a blessing in disguise that we couldn't stay here. They don't have problems taking reservations. They have problems honoring the reservations. STAY AWAY from this dump
