When my wife and I we walked into the hotel. I was standing behind my wife. The front desk clerk, who was the supervisor of the hotel greeted only me. He said “welcome sir.” He failed to acknowledge my wife’s presence. He Failed to welcome her. And even when he realized it, it was my wife that he had to deal with because she’s the one who booked the room and paid for the room. He still had no decency to acknowledge her presence or her. Active misogyny and sexism left a very foul taste in our experience at this hotel. Turns out the supervisors name is Jay and we had decided to file a complaint against him, but the front desk clerks would not take the complaint nor did they ask us which room we stayed in nor did they want to follow up with this particular matter. They didn’t even ask us our name so that they could follow up with us. I was utterly disgusted by what I have experienced and observed, and I strongly recommend that no one in their right mind would support this hotel. It’s a basic value that we have in Canada to treat everyone equally is not being respected by the hotel staff, and it’s management and sexism and mistreating women by ignoring their presences whether they pay for a room or not seems to be an acceptable way to do business for this hotel. The treatment we were welcomed is not in the alignment with our core values and if you find that this is unacceptable with your core values then you can make your choice whether you want to stay or not.
Phenomenal staff. Everyone was professional and courteous. I would like to see some heavier weights and maybe a hot tub, but it was a great experience all around. The dining staff were exceptional, and I will definitely visit again!
I would not recommend this place. I was told it had improved since my last stay many years ago, but it had not. I had a booking for 3 people including a 17 year old. For some reason they booked me a king bed without a fold out couch. When I got there there was no other room for our two night stay. I was told many times, and so was my travel agent, that I would at least get an air mattress for my Son. This never came, and we had to share the bed. We also swam and I got a rash from the pool. There are many other options in the area... all much better.nnI travel to Saskatoon very regularly and will not be going back to this hotel.
Called to see if there was possibility of early check in as I had nothing to do until check in and was told that's possible. I get to hotel and they ask me if I wanted top floor in the renovated rooms. I agreed and the renovations are beautiful. New carpets in hall and rooms, brighter lights and walls in hall and rooms, ceilings are redone looking brighter. Bathroom ceiling is cleaner as they are new. Room on top floor has newer tvs. I'm very impressed. I stay here often but was not aware there were renos being done.
