Sapperton District Taphouse

I went here with two friends yesterday and was very happy. My friend ordered one of the beers that was on Monday special but it was out, so he got something "similar" but to him it wasn't really. So that wasn't great. However, we ordered food and it was fantastic. The portions on the sandwiches and burgers were enormous. I was frankly shocked at how much food they gave us. Everything tasted quite good and we were very happy. The prices were incredibly reasonable for what we got ($12-15). We ordered the whiskey burger, special chicken club, and the schnitzel, with mac and cheese balls. Overall a very nice experience.

I frequent this bar on occasion as I work just down the street. Up until this point I have had nothing but good things to say about the place and frequently recommend it to friends looking to grab a craft beer and/or some wings. Tonight on the other hand my experience was sub-par to say the least. I came in after work hoping to grab a beer or two and catch some of the Raptors game. I sat up at the bar and awaited the bartender to give me a menu so that I could order a drink. Not only did I not receive a menu but also no acknowledgement of my presence. The bartender walked past me on numerous occasions without even a hello. I ended up leaving after 10 minutes when I saw that the bartender was more concerned with texting and serving other customers than myself. I am extremely disappointed in my experience tonight and I hope that this is rectified.

Nice spot now they improved it. Food and service is slowly polishing up and the owners seem good about wanting it to be a quality place and respond to recommendations.

Nice decor. Owners are nice and present. Good staff. Reasonably priced. Food is a bit lacking (great nachos tho). Attracts a mixed crowd (a lot of older regulars and some younger people)

4.5 / 5. My cousin and I shared two apps and two mains. He had a lit of beer and I desert. The food is really good. The on top selection is great. The condition and cleanliness is awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful, albeit a bit forgetful.
