The pub was awesome before with all the old pictures on the walls. That was a highlight of the pub. Now their walls are barren and plain, not interesting or historic anymore. I went to a fundraiser there last weekend and the burger my boyfriend got was barely half the size of the bun and burned...it was really small and looked like a black splatter! On the positive side, the fries are delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. The view is great!

A good old fashioned pub set in an old historical prison. Unfortunately after a change in ownership the prices have been raised and the historical photos and information have been removed. The pub food has always been good and the beer is still reasonably priced even after a $0.50 increase. I would normally rate this place 4 stars, but since they removed the historical photos, maps and increased their prices, I have removed a star in protest. If the owners put back the historical photos and history, I will give them another star! :)

Very nice place. Stopped there for dinner and a drink. It was very small but quaint. It had a huge patio with an awesome view of the river. Unfortunately it was still too cold for anyone to take advantage of it. Will be great in the warmer weather. We had the special which was an 8oz steak with 6 prawns and a garden salad for $17. For the price it was a great deal. The steak could have had a bit more seasoning but that's a personal thing. Nice atmosphere, it was filling up quite nicely by 6:30. Obviously a neighbourhood favorite gathering spot. Will return again for more English pub food.

Fantastic view, Friendly staff! Somewhat of a hidden gem. Local pub vibe to it with average-good food/pubgrub. Food did take a little while but nothing drastic. Will definitely be back.

Great food and great service, they are very friendly here! Great view on the patio in the warmer weather from what i could see.
