Do Not Go Here!!!! Absolutely horrible customer experience. The billing department is inept, unprofessional and fraudulent. I will be going to my local and state representatives as well as the media. My husband was diagnosed with larynx cancer and they have messed up billng more times than I can count. They have sent claim forms that should have gone to the insurance company to my house addressed to the WRONG insurance company 4 times. I have had to give them our insurance information every time we are billed because it is never actually updated and they keep having our old insurance in the system. On top of that they are trying to bill us 29k for his original 20 minute outpatient diagnostic biopsy that according to the government reference based pricing should be 5k at most. I cannot get anyone on the phone to help me, the billing department appears to be outsourced overseas since no one speaks English as their first language, and they just repeat their scripted talking points about price instead of trying to help me. I have reached out to the ombudsman office 3x and left messages each time which are never returned. This is a stress that no patient or family should have to go through while dealing with cancer.
One star is one star too many for these likes, particularly the nurses on the 3rd floor. Zero communication between departments and a whole lot of attitude. Inept An hour after a Dr scheduled amputation surgery, Nurse Caitlin berated me because I wouldn’t attempt to try and walk with a walker after they told me to not bear any weight on my foot/ankle. I had a bathroom accident because she rushed me and I had no balance because of my foot. She then proceeded to tell every single person who came in for the next shift. She then told the case worker that I could walk fine and she relayed that wrong information to my insurance which landed me on mid level coverage. It’s awfully funny that her friend/nurse Nurse Sharon with the Karen hair do, was the case worker and came in with an attitude and asked me if caused another problem, insinuating that I was the cause of any issue that had happened. They landed me in a nursing home/mental hospital for rehab and were snickering about it in the hallway. I will be speaking with a lawyer because not only did I not need my leg amputated, I was treated like so poorly that I’m never going back to that hospital. I’m 45 and have gone there my entire life with no problem. They are in for a rude awakening when I get out of here. Completely disgusted.
Went to the ER to determine if I had covid because I have a toddler at home it's very important that I know. Spent 6 hours in the ER for them to tell me that I had the flu why did it take 6 hours of my time the only thing they did was swab my nose and give me a chest x-ray why did it take 6 hours? then when I tell the staff Hey listen I really have to go because I have to get my kid off the bus and I've already been here very long time. I get told oh what room are you in? I'm coming right now, almost giving me an attitude like I'm the problem. I have been so patient I say I need to leave to get my child after you kept me there for 6 hours to test me for the flu, and I'm going to get an attitude? I would go to a different ER but this is the closest one to me I didn't even want to go, the last time my son went down here he waited for an approximately same amount of time and nobody even saw him he walked out after 6 hours and no testing. Now he's sitting on 175.00 bill for having nothing done.
Recently went in for chest pains. And I was worried it something serious. It wasn't. But they started doing tests before I could even fill out the paperwork. I was shocked. Unfortunately, the wait for the results took a couple hours and you probably won't get a room but nothing crazy like I've read in the reviews. Overall one of my fastest ER visits.
Yet another horrible experience here brought my daughter for an ear infection early in the am because her primary wasn't open for several more hours. Turns out she has a double ear infection. Doctor asks if she has any allergies to medication I stated very clearly yes she had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic and was treated here and prescribed an alternative they told me it was a form of penecillin but it should be in the system. Mind you this was 2 years ago and I couldn't remember the exact name of the medication. The doctor says ok I will determine the best antibiotic and send it over. I go to cvs get the antibiotic quickly give it to my daughter who's autistic nonverbal at 6 bc she's in pain and wanted to get the meds in her system asap tylenol was barely helping the pain at this point. Sure enough it's the same antibiotic she's highly allergic to! So now I'm giving her benedryl called st vs to change the script they put me on hold for almost 30 min I hung up n drove to her primary who had just opened to fix their mistake. In the end I will def never forget the name of the medication again !! big mistake trusting they wouldnt make a mistake like that and i will never let that happen again! You'd think it would be so simple had being told to just look in the computer and not prescribe the same medicine. Absolutely cannot stand this ER and will never be returning after this one! Worst part is Same thing happened to my father while in the ER here he was given medication meant for another patient so clearly this wasn't a one time ordeal! Consider yourself warned!
