Saint Germain Bakery

All the baked goods look phenomenal. They are also all well priced. The staff are quick and friendly too. The only problem I have is that even when I've bought pastries early in the day, they are warm, but don't taste fresh. They are flaky and don't have as much flavour as something fresh. I always have to reach to the back of a stash of something i want to try and then hope it's a fresh one. When it is fresh, it's so good. Unfortunately this experience has not been consistent enough for me to rate this place a 5.

I have tried other Saint German locations, but this was my first time to buy from this shop. I went there around afternoon tea time and they were quite busy. This time I bought 6 pieces of Hong Kong style egg tarts. If you buy 6 tarts, they will give you a nice clear plastic box to carry them. The price was affordable and quality was good. The pastry crust was flaky and the egg custard filling was silky. It was very enjoyable!

The store is really clean and all the employees even though they are Asians they are really humble and understand you very well. The chef I assume is a Olympic winner in bakery and has really good pastries, cakes, muffins, croissants. I bought a chocolate pastry,blackforest pastry and croissants. It was delicious. The only doen side I will say is cost , it's bit expensive than others bcoz it's a cake boutique

Bright and clean HK style bakery at Hillcrest Mall. A little bit pricy to start with. Cakes looked pretty nice. We tried the coconut tart and pork floss bun today, the coconut tart was hard and they put a layer of crust inside the tart. Not sure if this was supposed to be.

One of my favorite bakeries. We got the chestnut cake which exceeded our expectations. We also got a slice of the mango cake which was fabulously fresh and tasty. Also I really liked how the cakes were not too sweet. Highly recommend it. The staff could be a bit more friendly and welcoming. The cashier also has a bad attitude.

Great cakes, not for everyone’s taste, because they’re not your typical cakes you buy off the shelf. Their baked goods are always fresh, fluffy and delicious.. And they always have fresh refreshers, daily different flavours

This Hong Kong style bakery is located in Hillcrest Mall, freshly baked buttery buns, pastries, tarts, cakes and some traditional Chinese style baked goods. Most items are self-served, very busy at afternoon snack times.

I am sorry to leave such a review but we bought a number of items and they were not tasty or fresh. Probably the worst Chinese bakery I have tried. Edit: Adding a star for an amazing cake that I received from my friend. The fruits were fresh and the cake was tasty.

Love their buns and cakes.This location stocks up everything well. Prices of the items are kind of expensive in my opinion but I guess it's okay to buy once in a while. The store is quite clean as they make you use their tongs and trays to collect your items. Then there is a basket to put used tongs and they sanitize the trays and tongs after.

I always come here to buy bread now since its still good price vs the other bread places ex. bakecode these days. Better quality than T&T for sure and cakes are good flavour. Their sandwich is good portion for a lunch option on the cheaper side. + <$1 for coffee or HK milk tea is very worth..although cannot compare to a fancy starbucks.
